After a while, Shizuka finally showed up as Maria. "About time," I muttered and started searching for Ichiru. It took three days but I found him in the old Moon Dorm. He was talking to Shizuka so I decided to wait until she left. I leaned against the wall in my hiding place and waited. Thirty minutes later she finally left. I stepped out from my hiding place. "Hello, Ichiru," I said calmly.

He turned around. "Y/n," he said watching me.

"What's with the mask? Worried someone might recognize you?"

He took it off. "I don't go near him but I wear so no one confused me with him."

I snorted. "I think they might have a hard time with that. Since your hair is much longer." I looked him up and down. "Looks like Shizuka's taken good care of you."

He nodded. "She has. I'm no longer weak and sick."

I narrowed my eyes. "She's using you."

"No, she isn't."

"She's a vampire. A pureblood. They use people."

He raised an eyebrow. "So says the girl who sticks close to Kaname Kuren."

I glared. "I'd kill him before I'd let him use me."

"You let him turn you," he pointed out.

"Because I needed to help Zero," I snapped. "After you had Shizuka turn him."

"It's better than having him killed, isn't it?" He retorted.

"Hell no. He hates vampires. Always have. This was the worst idea you ever had."

"Go away before Shizuka comes back. I'm sure you don't want to meet her."

"No, I don't," I agreed. "I want to kill her."

He smirked. "If you do then Zero will become a Level E."

"Oh? You haven't heard? Even with Shizuka's contacts?" I said smirking.

His eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about?"

"My blood is exactly like Shizuka's. As long as Zero drinks my blood, he'll never become a Level E."

His eyes widened. "How?"

I shrugged. "Something to do with when I came back to life here. I'm not sure about the details." I smiled evilly. "So Shizuka can die and he'll be perfectly alright."

"Don't you dare," he growled. "She's everything to me."

"Oh for the love of hell. Wake up, Ichiru! She. Doesn't. Care. About. You," I said biting off each word.

"She loves me."

"She's incapable of love!"

"She is capable. If she wanted me dead she would have killed me already. She's never even drank my blood!"

"I know that," I snapped irritatedly. "I'm from another world, remember? I know everything that happens." I met his eyes. "I know she's going to die but not by my hand."

"Zero?"

I shook my head. "No, not him."

"Then who?"

I made a dismissive gesture. "No one important." I wonder what Kaname would have said if he had heard me call him unimportant. Hmm. I turned to go but paused at the door. "Just try not to get too wrapped up in revenge when she does die. I don't want to have to take you out too." I walked away thinking about how Kaname will deliver a killing blow but Ichiru will be the one to finish it.

"Y/n!" Yuki said.

I turned. "Hmm?"

"Maria...I mean Shizuka just told me she knew a way to save Zero. She gave me two choices and..." She began.

I held up a hand. "We don't need her help, Yuki. Zero will never go to Level E as long as he drinks my blood and I told you that. So why did you go to Shizuka?"

"I thought it might help," she mumbled.

"Do you not trust me?" I asked her evenly.

"I do trust you! I just thought you could use some help."

I shook my head. "I don't need that bitch's help, Yuki. I've got this, okay?"

She sighed. "Okay."

I started walking back to my room but then paused. "Yuki, please try to stay away from Shizuka. She's dangerous."

She nodded. "Okay."

I watched as she walked away then went to Kaname's room. "Hurry up and kill Shizuka," I told him.

He looked up from his book. "It's not time yet."

"She's driving me insane!"

"Ignore her then."

I glared. "You aren't helpful, you know that, right?"

He shrugged. "I know you aren't expecting me to help you."

I sighed. "No, I wasn't. I just talked to Ichiru and he really is hooked on Shizuka."

"You know that already though."

I nodded. "I did but it still bugs me. I mean he had been my friend."

"And you still think of him as a friend."

"Sadly," I muttered.

"If you do have to kill him, will you be able to?" Kaname asked after a few minutes of silence passed.

"I hope it doesn't come to that. But if I have to, I will." I went to my room and shut the door. Then flopped onto my bed. This life sucks. I rolled onto my side and fell asleep.
