"Woooaa! Yeji-unnie's Good Boy Gone Bad challenge is a hit!" Chaeryeong said as she watched Yeji's TikTok video on loop. "Daebak!" Yeji put her hands on her cheeks as if she were blushing.
"Really?" Yeji looked at Chaeryeong while batting her eyes. She loved being complimented by her members. Yeji really embraces when members directly says nice things to her; because if they're not complimenting her, then they are usually teasing Yeji.
"You're so good at dancing these types of dances! Midzys love it too. Look at the comments!" Chaeryeong continued. It was true that Yeji was really good at hard and powerful dance moves. Yeji was part of a dance crew before she was a trainee, and Yeji loved these types of dance choreography.
Lia came in the waiting room after getting her make-up completed. "Who was recording you? Was Manager-nim with you at the dance practice?" Lia asked. At this point, Yuna and Ryujin also came in the room fully dressed and ready for their dance recording of the music show. Yeji had not told the other girls about Hyunjin in the practice room with her. At this point, only Ryujin knew.
"No. Hyunjin was actually there too. So he recorded the video for me," Yeji said and looked at the others to read their reaction to her answer. To Yeji's surprise, no one seemed alarmed that Hyunjin was there practicing as well. Phew. This was definitely the right time to tell them.
"Wait- did you guys dance it together? Do you have a video?" Yuna questioned excitedly. Yeji nodded her head in response to Yuna's question. "Ah! I want to see!"
Yeji pulled out her phone and went to her camera album to find the video. Once she found it, she showed it to the girls while they all huddled to the phone. They were all excited to watch Yeji and Hyunjin dance together. Hyunjin was right. It really was no big deal if I had told the girls sooner. It seems like they're not making a big deal out of it. Thank goodness, or else they would non-stop tease me about it.
"Whoa. You both really match each others' dance so well," Ryujin commented. The rest of Itzy's agree. Yeji couldn't stop smiling that even her eyes were smiling so much too. It was nice to share this happy moment that she had with Hyunjin with the girls. It was so hard bottling it all inside. She also haven't been able to talk to Ryujin and why she lied for her that one night before Yeji left to practice.
"I told you that Yeji-unnie and Hyunjin-oppa dancing together would be so cool," Yuna added. "Too bad you didn't post this one on TikTok."
"I can't do that," Yeji immediately replied. "I don't know if fans will be happy to see this video."
"But Unnie, remember that Midzys and Stays liked your answer of wanting to collaborate with Hyunjin Oppa?" Yuna reminded her. Although that were true, Yeji was not convinced. Posting a video of her and Hyunjin together randomly, may not be that welcomed by fans. Also, fans didn't even know they were friends.
"Well you both have also MC'd together before. So it's not like it's the first time people would see you together," Lia said. It is true that Yeji and Hyunjin have MC'd together before - twice. Fans also reacted positively to their work together.
"But that's different," Yeji still unconvinced. "That's work, where people are more okay with that. But this is outside of work and just for the sake of having fun. I would rather not show this too the world."
"Yeji-unnie is the most professional idol," Ryujin put her arm on Yeji's shoulder. "She will always keep work and personal life separate if she can." It may not have sounded like it, but Ryujin was actually siding with Yeji. Yeji would be the type of idol who would do anything she can to avoid any dating rumors with an idol. So therefore, Yeji would do what she can to avoid any public interaction with male idols.
