CHERRY RUSHED TOWARDS THE SOUND!
"I got Nobody!" Polyphemus gloated, holding up a fistful of nothing.
When he shook his fist, Annabeth's baseball cap fluttered to the ground. She appeared, hanging upside down.
"Hah!" The Cyclops said. "Nasty invisible girl! Already got feisty one for wife. Means you gotta be grilled with mango chutney!"
Annabeth struggled, but she looked too dazed to properly fight back. There was a large cut on her forehead.
"I'll rush him." Percy whispered to Clarisse. "Our ship is around the back of the island. You, Grover, and Cherry-"
"No way." All three answered at the same time.
Clarisse held up a rams-horn spear from the Cyclops's cave. Grover had found a sheep's thigh bone. He definitely wasn't happy about it, but he was ready to attack.
Cherry looked... sick to her stomach, which wasn't really a beneficial tool, but when did she not look like that?
"We'll take him together." Clarisse suggested. "Most of us."
"Yeah." Grover agreed.
"I'll grab Annabeth while you guys... do whatever." Cherry waved her hand in their direction.
Percy nodded. He wasn't going to urge her to fight, and she wouldn't, anyway. "All right. Attack plan Macedonia."
The quartet stepped out of the shadowy mist. Percy lifted his sword and yelled, "Hey, ugly!"
The giant whirled to face him. "Another one? Who are you?"
"Put down my friend. I'm the one who insulted you."
"You are Nobody?"
"That's right, you smelly bucket of nose drool! I'm nobody and I'm proud of it! Now, put her down and get over here. I want to stab your eye out again."
The Cyclops dropped Annabeth headfirst onto the rocks and then charged at Percy. Clarisse and Grover assisted him in his attack.
Cherry rushed to Annabeth's side, lifting the girl from the rocks. She plucked her cap from the floor. Annabeth murmured something about the girl's hair when she was lifted onto her side
She balances her friend on her shoulder. Her eyes flicked to the rope bridge, their only option out. Cautiously, she made her way towards it, crossing it as silently as she could.
She barely made it to the other side when the trio stormed across the bridge, Polyphemus hobbling right after them.
"Grind you into sheep chow!" He threatened. "A thousand curses on nobody!"
