Lucifer's POV

I couldn't believe what Crystal had done. The tears fell down my cheeks, the look in her eyes broke me. She truly feared her younger sister and she thinks I betrayed her. "Why?" Crystal's expression twisted with a mix of longing and desperation. "Because, my dearest Lucifer, I want you! You are mine!" Her words dripped with possessiveness, her eyes gleaming with a fierce determination. "Well...I don't want you. I am happy with my mate." A bitter laugh escaped Crystal's lips, her gaze darkening with resentment. "But she's been seen with another," she spat out, her tone laced with accusation. "Her stepbrother claims she is his mate. That you, have brainwashed her to think she is yours instead."

A surge of anger surged through Lucifer's veins, his fists tightening at his sides. "That bastard!" he growled, his eyes flashing with fury. "She is mine, not his. I will destroy him." "My love just let them be together. She clearly doesn't trust you. My body is yours." Crystal started walking towards me, she was reaching out to me but before she could touch me, a blast of fire came from the doorway. It felt like I was in a trance then I was awakened by her pain. She screamed like a banshee, "how dare you! Get away from my mate!" In the doorway I could make out my father and standing next to him, releasing an almost demonic angel energy was my mate. As I took in the sight of her, a surge of emotions overwhelmed me. Relief flooded through my veins, knowing that she was safe and by my side. But beneath that, a deep sense of guilt gnawed at me, knowing that she had endured so much pain and suffering because of me.

Oceanna's gaze locked with mine, her eyes mirroring the tumult of emotions swirling within me. Without a word, she stepped forward, closing the distance between us in a few swift strides. Her hand reached out, trembling slightly as it brushed against my cheek, her touch sending sparks of electricity coursing through me. "Lucifer," she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm here. I'll always be here. I am so sorry I left, I needed time to cool off before I did something I would regret later." I placed my hand over hers, holding it against my face. "Crystal, I believe it is high time you left. You have done enough damage this lifetime." My father's voiced carried through the room, his word being law, she couldn't disobey.

"I will not be sent away like a child! I am carrying your grandchild!" The whole dimension shook with my father's rage, "you dare disobey me....siren!" My father's voice reverberated through the room, carrying a primal power that sent shivers down my spine. Even I, his own son, felt a tremor of fear at the sheer force of his rage. She looked like she was about to stand against my father, but she seemed to have thought of the consequences and backed down.

"Crystal, you know the consequences of your actions," he said, his voice heavy with regret. "But for the sake of your child, I will grant you leniency. Leave now, and do not return." Crystal turned and fled from the room, her footsteps echoing down the corridor like the fading echo of a nightmare. "I believe we should introduce Oceanna, officially, to squash these rumours. I will hold a ball in your honour." I smirked knowing that Oceanna would absolutely hate all this attention, nut knowing how much she cares for my father, she won't refuse him. "Thanks father. I can't wait." I knew she was just humouring him.

"I want you to go shopping for the ball." I looked into those beautiful golden eyes of my mate, Oceanna was going to look like a goddess at the ball. She wrapped her arm around mine and pulled me close, "I will go as long as you are there. I need opinions." I smiled down at my Queen the only woman who could command me, "your wish is my command." She laughed and it sounded like angel singing.

The next day, Oceanna and I scoured the markets in search of the perfect attire. The market bustled with vendors and shoppers, and it was hard to keep my eyes off Oceanna as she gracefully weaved through the crowd. Her presence alone seemed to part the sea of people, their gazes drawn to her ethereal beauty. We stopped at a stall adorned with an array of shimmering fabrics. A sweet aroma filled the air, mingling with the scent of freshly bloomed flowers. Oceanna's eyes sparkled with excitement as she ran her fingers over the rich fabrics, each one more exquisite than the last. "What do you think, Lucifer?" she asked, holding up a gown sewn with silver thread that reflected the sunlight. "Will this be fit for a queen?"

I grinned at her mischievousness. "More than fit, little one," I replied, taking her hand in mine. "You will outshine all the woman present. You will command the attention of the room." Oceanna blushed at my words, her cheeks turning the prettiest shade of pink. "Lucifer, you flatter me too much," she whispered, her voice filled with both gratitude and disbelief. I leaned closer, my lips grazing against her earlobe. "Flattery has nothing to do with it, little one," I murmured, my voice low and seductive. "It is the truth. You are a force to be reckoned with." She playfully slapped my chest, a playful glint in her eyes. "You always know just what to say," she teased.

We continued browsing through the stalls, finding treasures along the way. Oceanna's excitement was infectious, and I found myself smiling at her delight with each new discovery. As the sun began its descent, casting an orange glow over the city, we finally settled on the perfect gown. It was a flowing masterpiece of sapphire blue, adorned with delicate pearls that shimmered like stars in the darkest night. "I would love to see this dress on you, little one." Oceanna's face lit up with a radiant smile. "And you will, Lucifer, at the ball." She clutched the gown against her chest, her excitement palpable. "It's been so long since I attended any formal event. I must admit, I'm looking forward to it."

I grinned, savouring the warmth of her enthusiasm. "You'll be the belle of the ball, and everyone will be captivated by your beauty." She playfully rolled her eyes. "Flattery again? You really are an incorrigible charmer." "I speak only the truth," I replied, guiding her away from the stall. "Now, what about accessories? A tiara, perhaps?" Oceanna laughed, the sound like music. "You're turning me into a princess, Lucifer." "Princess, queen, goddess—whatever you wish to be," I said, kissing her hand. We continued our stroll through the market, exploring stalls filled with intricate jewellery and accessories. Oceanna's eyes sparkled with curiosity as she examined each piece. Eventually, we settled on a silver tiara adorned with sapphires and an aquamarine centrepiece, perfectly complementing her chosen gown.

As we made our way back to the castle, the sun dipped below the horizon, casting the city into a tapestry of twilight hues. "Lucifer...I know I was worried about meeting all these new people but having this ball makes me feel like I actually belong somewhere. I am so happy." My heart melted at hearing her words, I grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards my chest. Holding her against me, I also felt like I truly belonged, she was my home, she had been my home for a thousand years.
