On forest floor of Kashyyyk, underneath the skyscraper-like trees and winding, monstrous roots, the battle between the Republic and the Harrowers is really heating up. Yoda is fighting Ahsoka and Zorsia, Jinang is battling Ki-Adi-Mundi in single combat, and the rest of the mercenaries are in an intense shootout with a large number Republic soldiers. However, the Harrowers are the ones with the advantage: There will be no reinforcements for the Republic here, because they need all of the support they can get fighting against the Separatist battle droids. And while the mercenaries are outnumbered and outgunned, Bender and Onyudo are on their way, and when they come around, the two Jedi will have no chance. Yoda could put up a good fight but there would be too many very tough opponents surrounding him, plus the legendary mercenaries, Bender the Iron Maiden and Onyudo the beskar giant. And with Jinang, Ahsoka and Zorsia, Yoda will simply be completely overwhelmed.
Having been a friend of master Yoda and a former Jedi, Ahsoka does not want to see him die. She is feeling very conflicted right now, and while that makes her vulnerable, the grand master doesn't seem to be exploiting that. Yoda fights defensively against Ahsoka and offensively against Zorsia, juggling them both remarkably well. But his desire not to hurt the former padawan who he watched grow up is a weakness that Zorsia is keenly aware of trying to take advantage of. Whenever Yoda attacks Zorsia and makes a defensive move against Ahsoka, the Chiss has less than a second to strike in a paper-thin opening in the grand master's form. Zorsia was trained very well by count Dooku, who was considered to be the greatest lightsaber duelist in current history. She's picked up a lot of his skills in over 20 years of training making herself is an incredibly skilled duelist, making her no pushover compared to Yoda.

Meanwhile, master Ki-Adi-Mundi is getting desperate in his battle against Jinang - every new tactic he tries, Jinang can counter with blinding speed, and multiple different weapons and tools to fight with. Such as smoke bombs and a bladed chain weapon. And his dark powers are a very deadly threat that the old Jedi wasn't prepared for. Despite an age gap of 40 years, filled with fine Jedi experience, Ki-Adi-Mundi is outclassed. In a test of just lightsaber fighting skill, Mundi would most likely win, but this isn't just a lightsaber fight. The Sith were gone for a thousand years and it made the Jedi soft. So with Jinang employing Sith tactics, Nightsister magicks, understanding the weaknesses of the Jedi, having been one, and many years of Koga's memories in his head, this old Jedi can't win...
Their fight took them higher up the base of a tree as Mundi kept attempting to gain a tactical advantage with higher ground, but Jinang can traverse the area so much faster and with many times more dexterity than he can, so his positioning doesn't matter. They reached a low branch on the enormous tree, clashing over a hundred feet above the battle. Jinang ducks under a horizontal lightsaber swing and shuffles towards Mundi's side while stabbing him in the chest with a magic kunai - and then the small warrior jumps up, roundhouse kicks the Jedi in the back of the head and slashes him across the back with another kunai. Mundi groans in pain and staggers away from Jinang, hunched over and holding his lightsaber up in desperate self defense. Jinang swats his lightsaber out of the way, fires a grappling gun at the Jedi's ankle, the cord wrapping around his leg. Then the mercenary kicks Mundi in the jaw, pushing him closer to the edge of the branch - then Jinang leaps into the air, pulling the Jedi's feet out from under him so he falls backwards over the edge and then he uses a new ability he figured out through Zorsia's training - a glowing green aura forms around Jinang's body - Jinang hits a higher branch that he jumped into in the air, and pushes off of it with a booming force powered jump towards Mundi and finishes him off with an empowered spirit ichor kick!

Then the mercenary kicks Mundi in the jaw, pushing him closer to the edge of the branch - then Jinang leaps into the air, pulling the Jedi's feet out from under him so he falls backwards over the edge and then he uses a new ability he figured out...

A bright green flash is made upon the impact of Jinang's heel with Ki-Adi-Mundi's abdomen, and spirit ichor pierces Mundi's body and runs him through. They descend with a thoom, back down to the forest floor and Jinang makes a small shockwave, slamming the old Jedi onto the ground with a loud thud. Jinang staggers off of Mundi, panting heavily. This fight was just enough to have pushed him to his limits. Ki-Adi-Mundi is paralyzed now, with a huge hole that went through his spine. He coughs up blood as he dies in a red pool forming beneath him.
"Was this... Was..." Mundi says, struggling harder to breathe with each breath. "Was this revenge...?"

"No." Jinang says, looking at the dying Jedi with pitty, the sounds of an intense fight ringing loud in the background. "No, it's just business... Do you even care, though?"

Mundi tried to answer, but he is unable to keep speaking. Struggling on the ground, gasping for air. Though, it's not like he'd have ever said anything that would give Jinang any kind of peace...
"The Jedi never taught you not to love anything. Not to care..." Jinang says angrily. "That was all you. And if you were ever able to look inward, you'd have WEPT. Because there's NOTHING there. You're just empty inside."

"You...?" Mundi managed to rasp out, fading away. "You don't... Know me..."

"Because I'm empty too!" Jinang said, getting more angry crouching down beside the Jedi. "I can see that emptiness in your eyes, I can see the void in your heart. I've got the same... The same..."

Ki-Adi-Mundi has died, lying in a large pool of blood that Jinang's standing in. His eyes were still open, and that calm, emotionless look is still stuck on his face. Jinang gently shuts his old master's eyes, and gives him one last look of pity. Then he stands up, and storms off to go back to fighting. Killing Ki-Adi-Mundi didn't make anything better, there wasn't anything remotely satisfying about that to Jinang... Perhaps he knew revenge wouldn't have helped him, but he took it anyway and murdered a Jedi, and there won't ever be a chance to come back from that... There was a lot Jinang wanted to say, and a lot he wanted to hear from Mundi, but it doesn't matter anymore. The Jedi don't matter to him anymore. Except for one - Obi-Wan Kenobi...

For a brief moment, as Ki-Adi-Mundi passed from this world to the next, Yoda experienced grief and flinched, making an opening for Zorsia to exploit: So she breaks his stance with her lightsaber and follows up with a downward, spirit ichor powered punch, packing everything she's got behind it. Yoda is sent flying a very short distance, face first into the ground and then bounces into the air, at which point Zorsia blows him away with a point blank blast of Sith lightning. While Yoda is sent flying away, Zorsia rushes over to try and finish him off, but he deflects her lightsaber and the fight continues. However, the Jedi is starting to realize that this is a losing fight, as his soldiers are dropping quickly. He finds an opportunity to escape, and disengages from his fight against Zorsia and Ahsoka, and tries to hop away to escape. Despite being able to jump and maneuver easily, Yoda is still unable to get away quickly enough, and he is getting surrounded by the Harrowers who are trying to shoot him. Ahsoka is trying to get them to stop, to just let him escape since he isn't capable of doing anything anymore. Zorsia relents and so do some others, but suddenly - Yoda was caught out of the air by the enormous hand of Onyudo.
"Got you!" Onyudo says wickedly.

Yoda's whole torso is enveloped by Onyudo's huge hand, and in an instant, the Jedi was crushed like an egg. His bones crackling and splintering in Onyudo's fist - then the giant throws his gruesomely mutilated remains at a tree, destroying his body further. Ahsoka was shocked to the core by this gratuitously brutal murder of the Jedi order's grand master. She stands there, stunned, her mouth agape. Her face pale. She drops her lightsabers, and is weak at the knees. The poor woman is in a state of total shock... Suddenly, Zorsia grabbed Ahsoka by the arm and she snapped out of it.
"Do you hear me?" Zorsia says, finally getting the Togruta's attention. "Ahsoka we have to go!"

Even though they lost several speeders, everyone was able to fly away. Onyudo can't fly a speederbike, but he can run at 45 miles an hour and he has several jets across his body to make huge leaps, allowing him to escape just quickly enough. Ahsoka feels sick to her stomach, and can't think straight, but Zorsia is going to look out for her until she is taken to safety. She even grabbed Ahsoka's lightsabers for her. She isn't overly fond of the former Jedi, but Zorsia protects her own, and considers Ahsoka her ally. So she'll see to it that she survives.

A squad of Republic soldiers and wookiee warriors reached the area far too late... The entire team led by masters Yoda and Ki-Adi-Mundi is dead with not a single survivor... The wookiee chief sees the shredded pile of bloody meat, shattered bones and bits of a green skin that used to be his friend, Yoda, and the chief let's out an anguished cry of rage and sorrow. This is a death that will shake the entire Republic.
