Jinang wakes up in the med bay of a venator cruiser, seeing Dekker asleep on a chair in the corner. Sighing deeply with the immense relief upon the realization that he's safe, Jinang raised a hand to run over his face and was startled by the new mechanical arm. It's sleek, and black, with matte, somewhat rubbery synthetic skin. He looks at the new hand - Jinang can feel properly in it's palms and fingertips, but not in the rest of the arm. Physical sensation is strange, and he feels it only enough to know something is touching his new skin. This will take a lot of getting used to...
Jinang sits up, not aching all over like he expected, his hair loose from his normal braids, and he's wearing a hospital gown. Looking to his side, he sees Ahsoka fast asleep on a bed next to him. Upon the realization that he really is safe, Jinang lays back down to rest, and try and think things over. For once he isn't completely overwhelmed by uncontrollable thoughts, and feels relief from pain he didn't even know he had, which is a strange, bizarre sensation. It's like that thing causing him to vomit and suffer terrible migraines really is dead, just like Rox told him in that odd place. He can actually think without causing himself pain. Jinang is still very sad though, thinking about how things went with Kal and Shara... If it had been any other set of circumstances, it could have gone better. And Jinang keeps running scenarios through his head how it could have been better. But the one reality is that he and Kal were pitted against each. They're enemies now... That's the last thing Jinang wanted, and when he thinks that about what he did to Kal, brutally trying to kill him... He'll never be able to forgive himself for that...
And then hinking about how many Harrowers died, and Gyara along with them... If she had been around after the Koga part of Jinang's brain finally died, he could have actually had a relaxing relationship with her... But, she was taken away from him, and like usual, he has no choice but to try and move on...Rox said that Mr. Izanami intentionally stored memories in the neural stabilizer in order to place the skills and experience of a legendary assassin in the head of someone else, should his favorite pawn die. If that's true, and the source to Jinang's five year long identity crisis was an experiment on memory transfer, then that old man has to die... It didn't even work that well either, as Jinang is not nearly as skilled as Koga or Rox. Most of the memories he got were emotional attachments. It is true that Jinang became a far more talented fighter with those memories, but most of his abilities are ones he learned himself: Koga didn't use spirit ichor or Mandalorian weapons, and he didn't use Jinang's fighting styles. The skills Jinang has are his own. So Takemura's plan to keep the most dangerous assassin alive didn't even work and it caused Jinang horrible torment... So many questions, so little time, and so few answers.
"Hey Vega?" Jinang says, just wanting to hear someone's voice now. "Vega, wake up."The scientist perks up, and gets up to go see Jinang.
"Man, it's good to see you awake." Dekker says excitedly, eagerly pulling his chair up next to Jinang's bed. "You were in a coma for three weeks...""What the hell..." Jinang says, more annoyed than upset. "What even happened to me?"
"A whole damn lot." Dekker says, sighing. "But on the bright side, you're in better neurologically healthy condition than I've ever seen you. You lost a couple of pounds, but otherwise, you're in great shape."
During the Felucia incident, Jinang was going through a massive overload of his bodily systems: Fighting through very bad injuries with the force, constant adrenaline, dishing out insane amounts of power, Jinang pushed his body far beyond its limits. And mentally, through all of that, his brain was trying to cope with the change to the neural stabilizer, which was Koga literally dying. So the chip was fighting Jinang harder than ever for several hours. However, the stabilizer is normal now, and Koga is truly gone. For good this time. But now Jinang's physically well - albeit tired. And also perfectly mentally stable, from certain perspectives.
