The strange creature snickered and grabbed a nearby woman. He jumped out the window, creating debris and it fell on top of the man.
"You both go after it! Me and Mob have the man!" Leorio screamed and they broke up into pairs. Leorio tried to get the man out of the debris and struggled greatly. "Dammit.." He cursed. He felt useless.
In the corner of his eye, he saw Y/n walk up to it. He was about to tell her to give it up before various colors surrounded the debris. It lifted up and Leorio stood there with his mouth agape. What. The. Fuck.
Leorio stood there motionless even when the man was now released from the debris. Y/n stared at him with her usual blank eyes, "Aren't you going to help him? " She asked quietly.
"OH!" Leorio rushed over to the man and started to treat his wounds. And in the midst of it, Y/n noticed something peculiar.
The man's aura was off. He had a different aura than one of a human, which made her slightly nervous. She felt the need to tell Leorio to back up, but she herself wasn't sure of what the man truly was.
"Leorio." Her soft and monotone voice cut through the air. "I don't think... you should be near him."
Leorio's eyebrows furrowed and he turned his head, "What? What do you mean?"
Y/n started to sweat and she noticed the stare of the hurt man. His eyes held amusement but danger. Why was he looking at her like that? Something inside Y/n told her to get Leorio away.

"Honey! You're never going to believe this!" A voice screeched. Y/n put her hand down and glanced at the window to see the Kuriko's head through it. "Listen to this!"

"So... it was all an act?" Leorio deadpanned. "Wow, you fooled me..." He trailed off before looking at the girl. Was she apart of it too?
The Kuriko's explained the family situation and the Hunter Exams test. Y/n felt the eyes on the man still, and that caused her to get nervous.
'I was about to use my power on an innocent man.' She stressed in her mind before closing her eyes.
"—Y/n."
She perked up with sweat dripping down her face. "Uhm..."
"You showed great abilities. I'm honestly not sure how you did it, but you managed to get the rubble off and stay cautious. That's a good trait to have." The man smiled.
