"I only went on a date with you because I lost a bet." The light brown haired girl said, "My friends thought your silent speech was funny." She shrugged, "I don't like girls anyways, let alone someone who doesn't have feelings. But sorry I lied to you for a week." Emi got up and walked away.Y/n stayed there, silently watching the girl with slightly widened eyes. They went back to a blank stare after a minute and she looked down."A bet..." She mumbled to herself as she played with the blades of grass.
The thought of their time together made her slightly hurt. Emi took the time to talk to Y/n and actually tell Y/n about her passions. But it seemed like she didn't feel the same. Y/n couldn't help but understand where Emi was coming from. Who would want to date someone like her... someone who has no feelings.
Y/n sighed and got up from her spot on the slope of a hill. It was golden hour, her favorite part of the day.
She walked down the sidewalk and spotted Emi. Her poem book was ripped to shreds and she stood in front of a couple girls that were laughing.
"I mean, you really write that stuff?" One girl pointed and laughed.
Emi laughed along with her, though only with awkwardness and a hint of hurt, which Y/n picked up on.
One of the girls peered over Emi's shoulder, "Oh hey, it's that freak." She giggled.
All attention turned to Y/n. She didn't like that.
"Get lost!" The girl yelled, "Didn't Emi tell you?"
Y/n didn't say anything, she just got on her knees and started picking up the bits of paper that were on the ground. "This meant a lot to her." She mumbled. Emi's eyes widened.
"Huh? What did you say?" The girl cupped her ear in a mocking tone, "You speak so quietly."
Y/n teared up, "I... do have feelings." She whispered.
"What the hell is she— Emi?" Before the mean girl could say anything else, Emi was on the ground helping the h/c haired girl pick up the pieces. "What are you doing?"
"Just go ahead without me." She smiled.
The two continued to pick up the pieces of paper for a while. Then a gust of wind blew them away, making Emi slump and give a sad laugh.
"What are we even doing?" She looked down. "Wanna go chase it down?" She let out a sad close eyed smile towards the girl. Only to open her green eyes to see colors swirling around.
A variety of colors surrounded the blank eyed girl as she held her hand out. Her hair blew in the wind and the pieces of paper came floating back to them. One by one, the pieces came together and restored the poem book the girls had torn up. Y/n held out her hands and caught the book once she released it from her ability.
