We're Both Losers Baby

{Chapter two}

Jake seemed to be on the verge of tears "Ah- I'm sorry!" I freaked out I don't even deserve to apologize to him.
"Drew, it's fine," Jake told me "I forgive you. Now that doesn't make what you did okay."
"I know!" I stated "What can I do to at least make up for a portion of what I did?"
"Hmm" Jake started "Apologize to the club."
"Yeah I guess that makes se-" I froze "I CAN'T!! I-I have my reputation." I looked down.
"Drew it's really easy!" Jake comforted me "Just exactly what you just did!"
"Okay. I guess"

~~~at school the next day~~~

"Hey guys" Jake smiled as he called to the club waving in their direction "Drew has something he'd like to say!" Zander looked she'll-shocked, as though he'd done something unforgivable. I mean he just stated the truth so no harm no foul.
"Hey um I hope you guys'll hear me out?" I give a half hearted chuckle.
"Give us a second." Hailey says. I can hear them mumbling about 10 feet away.
I then hear Jake say "You should just listen to what he has to say. I promise it's not as bad as you guys think."
They all look at me "Well, start talking."
"I wanted to start this with, I don't expect any form of forgiveness," I sigh "I'm sorry. I've been terrible to you guys, and I know this doesn't atone for what I've done but," I grumble "here's a video of me playing guitar. You can leak it if you want."
I notice them staring at me in disbelief, as Hailey speaks up "Why would you bully us for something you do as well?" she no longer seemed irritated just confused.
"I guess I just got jealous." I looked around for something anything to do but continue this conversation.
"Well I guess it is a talent thing," she seemed contented with that answer "you're jealous because we're better at music than you? That's really petty Drew."
I can't bring myself to tell the truth, I know the club is full of supportive people but they all know about Jake's crush on Daisy. I hear the video playing from Luke's phone as he states "He's actually kinda good? If it's a talent thing then I don't see the issue. Drew's actually pretty good." They all turn to look at me including Jake.
"Why did you pick on them if it wasn't because they're better than you?" Jake asked.
"I told you, didn't I, I was jealous." I tried not to look at Jake.
