*CALUM'S POV*

Just as I was going to class I noticed this green haired guy struggling with his locker. I walked over to help him.

"hey do you need help?" I asked

"yea man" he said.

So I started to fiddle with his combination and then all of a sudden he put his hand on my lower back. I thought nothing of it and pushed that thought away. Once again I turned the dial on the lock until it finally opened. I quickly walked away and walked into the bathroom. I felt butterflies flying around in my stomach. I don't know if it was from second breakfast today or if it was something else, but I knew I felt something when that green haired guy put his hand on my lower back. I hadn't have that feeling in a long time. Ever since I've been with jared we haven't had the best relationship. To be completely honest it was literally the worst ever since he asked me to be my boyfriend. I wanted to break things off with him for quite some time. As soon as I calmed down I went back to class but that green haired guy was in the bathroom as well. Actually he was waiting for me but I had no idea why he did that but I didn't want to question anything. 

As we were both walking back to our class he said something. I obviously couldn't hear him until I made him repeat himself.

"thank you" he said sheepishly.

"your welcome" I squeaked out. I couldn't really talk mainly because that was the first ever non-abusive physical touch I've received from anybody. 

~LATER THAT DAY AT THE HEMMINGS HOUSEHOLD~

"I am telling you Luke I felt something for that guy" I said to Luke

"or he could be another abusive guy just saying" he said.

"omg Luke not every guy I tell you is abusive it just so happen to be my soon to be ex boyfriend." I said as a matter of fact.

He has a huge smile after I said that.

"omg calum are you really gonna break up with him?" he asked

"yes but I don't know how im gonna do it. I mean you know how jared is" I said

He nodded his head in agreement. 

"yea I know what you mean hun." he said. 

Luke and I call each other 'coupley' names so im pretty much used to it by now.

"hm, how am I gonna break up with jared. he's gonna manipulate me into staying with him like he always does. I am sick and tired of it honestly." I said. I sighed at the pure frustration. 

"You know what im just gonna tell him him that im tired of him treating me like im garbage." I said with confidence.

"How are you gonna tell him? like over text or call?" Luke said.

"in person and you are coming with me since you are taller than me and a lot older them me, you can protect me like you always have been doing ever since we met" I said. 

"WHAT-fine but im driving us to his house" he said

~ON THE WAY TO JAREDS HOUSE~

" I can't believe im gonna break up with jared" I said nervously. I prepared myself for what's about to come. Just as Luke parked the car across from jared house I sat in the car preparing myself.

 Luke waited with me cause he knows how to keep me from backing out from breaking up with jared.

'Wait you wanted to break up with jared many times?' Yes, yes I have but I wasn't always confident in doing it. 

Luke looked at me.

"hey everything is gonna be okay im gonna be standing right beside you while your doing it." he reassured me. I believed him. 

Just as we were walking up his front door I began to felt nervous, but Luke held my hand in reassurance. I calmed down some when he did that. Luke knocked on the door and we were playing the waiting game. He always took so long to answer the door. When he finally did I got so nervous and forgot what to say. 

"What do you want now?" jared said drunkenly. I knew he'd be shitfaced. I rolled my eyes at that. I didn't care if he saw me do it. 

"Jared" I said coldly. 

"we came here to tell you that im breaking up with you. I just cant deal with all of your shit anymore jared." I said quickly

He sobered up a little to that. Just as me and Luke were leaving he grabbed me by my wrist and jerked me back. He was begging me not to do it. This is the shit I cant deal with. I jerked my hand back and continued to walk away. Luke and I were getting into his car just as jared was throwing his beer can that was in his hand. It made contact with the windshield. 

"THANK YOU FOR THE FREE CAR WASH ASSHOLE" Luke yelled at jared as he was driving off. He gave him the middle finger just as he was passing by. Luke did a U-turn to do it. Jared was trying to run after us but he ended up just stopping. I was relieved that I broke things off with him. I don't even know what I saw in that asshole.
