Corvus stood there in shock, how could it be him. Even the birthdays were the same. Cas looked at him carefully, trying to see how he was feeling. He put his hand on his shoulder.

"Corvus, buddy, are you ok?" He asked while gently shaking him.

"I- I don't know. This can't be real."

"Why don't you sit down, ok."

Cas led him to the chair while Alice got him some water. When she got back Cas was sitting next to him, holding his hand and trying to comfort him.

"I mean we could try that memory spell again if you want. To see what might have happened so you can know for sure."

"How do you know it'll work this time?"

"I might be able to help." Alice says as she hands Corvus the water.

"What happened last time that you couldn't do it?"

"I'm not sure. I thought I might not have been strong enough to do it yet."

"I know a spell that could help. It'll open a small, temporary link between you both. Corvus should be able to lend you some strength for the spell you need."

Corvus looked up. "How does that work?"

Alice grabbed her violin from its case. "Kind of like a paladin or a warlock and their patrons. The patron gives them a power reserve to draw from, this would be a much small version of that."

The boys looked at each other and Corvus nodded. Cas got up and grabbed the need things from his bag then started setting things up. Once he was done he and Corvus sat in their respective circles. Alice drew her bow and began to play, a soft melodic sound came out. Images of fields of flowers and nice summer rains appeared with the feeling of peace in their heads as the spell concluded. Between the boys a small orb formed, swirling and glowing red. Cas could feel the power from it, he felt stronger. The orb faded as the chalk glowed brightly before Cas saw black. When he opened his eyes he was in a large ornate library, it looked like the pictures he saw of the castle in Hell but not destroyed. He looked down at his hands, they were see through almost as if he was a ghost.

"Oh my Gods it worked!"

"Mamma, mamma look!" A small child exclaimed running into the room. He couldn't have been much older than six. He had short black hair with red streaks throughout.

At the desk there sat a young woman, Ezzah. She had long fire red hair and pale skin, she was wearing a simple but beautiful long green dress. She put down her book as the small child barreled into the room followed by a much taller man. He had short black hair like the child and was wearing armor. He handed Ezzah a bouquet of beautiful picked flowers.

"Me and papa picked you some flowers on our walk." The young woman picked up the boy and sat him in her lap.

"These are very pretty thank you Corvus." She said and kissed his forehead.

The man put the flowers into a vase before leaning down to kiss the woman. "I'm going out to the training grounds to see how the progress is going. I will see you two at dinner. Behave for you mother little one." He kissed the boy on the head.

As the man left Ezzah began reading to the young boy. As she did she drew the words in the air just as Cas had seen Corvus do earlier. Cas heard yelling as the room around him rippled and began to change.

The room was different, instead of the library he had seen before this looked like a council room but only three people were there. Ezzah, then the man from earlier who Cas assumed to be Brureth he husband and a man he had only seen in his dream. It was Soneth before he had power. They seemed to be fighting but Cas couldn't make out the words. The door was cracked open, and he could see young Corvus peeking through although he looked a little older maybe ten this time, he looked afraid. He heard Ezzah scream, looking over Brureth was on the floor. It looked like he had been burned, Soneth had shot fire at him. Suddenly guards stormed towards them but instead of protecting the Queen and her husband they executed them. Soneth looked towards the door and saw Corvus then the room began to change again.
