Soon most of the dragons in or near the underground lake had vanished, seemingly back to their caves, as Tango took note of the reflection of the three moons on the water, coming from a skylight.

So ignoring (but not actually ignoring) the very random news, Tango decided that she didn't like the sight of Peacemaker's soggy wings, & made up a lame excuse to head back to her own cave.

"AWWWWWW!" Peacemaker & Fateshifter whined at the time time, which almost startled her. "But why?" asked Swallow, arching a brow, "it's Friday, after all. No classes tomorrow."

Shoot, she's right. Tango grit her teeth, "I still like to stick to a good sleep schedule...?"

Peacemaker rolled his eyes, then pointed a claw at her "LIES!" he accused in a joking manner, "you used to stay up super late with me making pies!"

"When we were like- 2!" Tango protested, spreading her wings out to make some sort of point clear. "It still counts!" Peacemaker claimed, sticking his tongue out for a brief moment.

"I'm not saying your lame Tango," Fateshifter said, scrunching her nose, "but at the same time it's really lame to not stay up late when the weekend is tomorrow."

So after a small argument ("YOU WILL STAY AWAKE!", "BUT I'M TIRED!!" "NO EXCUSES") Tango ended up staying awake like the totally not lame dragon she was.

Eventually, the four of them left the Underground Lake, & headed to the gardens (as Peacemaker had suggested).

Upon heading outside, the cold air hit Tango like a truck. She wrapped her wings around herself, though she wasn't exactly sure how, & shivered. It was expected, since the Summer was coming to a close, but she was still unprepared.

Swallow chuckled at the sight, "If I had wings i'd 100% help warm you up." Tango nodded, "W-Well that's thoughtful, t-thanks."

"Behold! My super-delicious-super-cool-strawberries!" Peacemaker said, doing Jazz-claws in the direction of a small patch of strawberries. "Is the name in progress?" Tango managed to say in her first ever sarcastic tone.

"Who are you & what have you done with Tango?" snorted Peacemaker. "Maybe she retreated into her cave, instead of following you into the cold" Tango said with a shrug.

Peacemaker, who was still leading the way, suddenly stopped near the edge of the cliff the garden was located on, "that's odd.." he mumbled.

Tango arched a brow, walking over & peering over the cliff & into the darkness, "what is?"

"You see that tree?" asked Peacemaker, pointing a claw into the distance. Tango, turning her eyes to look, almost let out a small gasp. "What the..?"

Gleaming beneath the three moons, was a tree. Except it wasn't normal.

It's leaves were pitch black, & not because of the darkness, & the bark was a deep brown with bright green veins running through it.

Tango folded her wings back into herself, blinking a few times to check if her vision was okay. "You guys are all seeing that weird tree, right?" Fateshifter asked, stepping beside Tango.
