NIRUPAMA
(Some Secrets May Better Remain Secrets Forever)
'I cannot bear this', 'I want to pluck my eyes out' only these two sentences were the clues which the late girl Nirupama left in writing one on a wall and one in a book quite unintentionally and involuntarily to know about the reason for her committing suicide. Her father Ranganath, detective Smaran and his niece Menaka along with Nirupama's friend Sukanya pretty well understood that Nirupama did not want the said secret to be known to anyone else. But since her father Ranganath hell bent upon knowing about the said secret, detective Smaran and his niece Menaka ruthlessly investigated the matter only to unearth the said ghastly, shocking and astounding secret which the dead girl terribly wished to keep only with her in her grave forever.

"Oh, dear. Shall we go into my room? Are you ready to hypnotize me again?" looking at Menaka, Nirmala asked.
It was afternoon time and and they just finished their lunch.
Menaka surprised looking at Nirmala then. There was a happy expression on her face. She was more active than ever before. Menaka did not know what really was the reason to that happiness. She remembered what Niranjan has said about her sudden happiness like this before. Just like beore, her mind might be imagining full that Nirupama was alive and it might be causing that happiness.
"Sure aunty, why not?" anyhow the situation was conducive to their experiment, Menaka felt happy.
"We go into my bedroom then."
Then Menaka took Nirmala's right hand and led her into her bed room and laid her gently on the bed. Nirmala closed her eyes, adjusted herself for more comfort and just like every day became ready to that hypnotic session.
"Now you are feeling so relaxed....relaxed...." Menaka started saying. There was expected change in Nirmala's face.
"Your body and mind completely follow my suggestions.....you do feel happy in complying with my suggestions....You are relaxed ..... there are no unnecessary thoughts in your mind....."
Nirmala's body became still. Her breathing was even and facial expression was relaxed.
"You are not falling asleep............ You do remain awake.................. But you are under deep hypnosis............ You do follow only my suggestions..............."
There was no change in Nirmala. Menaka felt relieved. Menaka already made her accustomed to be awaken under hypnosis to give the necessary suggestions to start the treatment Niranjan suggested.
"Now you are going to hear another voice which you do like even more......... You do answer his questions......... you do follow his suggestions.............. you do hear that voice you and it makes you even more happy and relaxed.............you answer all his questions....."
Nirmala appeared more relaxed than ever before. Her breathing was even and there was no rapid eye movement either.
Observing Nirmala like that, Menaka took out her cell and gave a missed call to Smaran's number. Smaran, Ranganath and Sukanya were just waiting outside. Within seconds after Menaka gave that missed call, those three filled that room. All the necessary instructions have been given to the other people by Smaran outside itself. No one should make any noise. No disturbance should be there.
Smaran looked into the eyes of Menaka and Menaka nodded her head with satisfaction. Smaran went near to Nirmala and looked into her face.
"I am the other voice you do hear now....You like my voice also....You comply with my suggestions.....You obey my orders......"
