A/N: I HAVE RISEN ONCE AGAIN WAHAHAH
Idk how this fic is still getting people to comment on it but thanks for that! Hope you guys enjoy this mildly filler chapter!"Tsukasa, get your wings out you stupid idiot!" Kohane heard Nene yell as Tsukasa let out another high pitched shriek. She spotted Nene hanging onto the ceiling of the room, holding Minori by the cuff of her shirt. The centipede moved fast, shaking the house. Kohane was frozen in place, her eyes wide.
"Incoming!" Kohane heard An roar and she quickly pinned herself against the wall and saw a glimpse of black fur run past her and barrel straight into the giant insect. Kohane heard the insect shriek with pain and shock. Then, she heard a sickening squelch and a thud. Kohane reluctantly looked back in the room and saw An back in her alien form standing over the centipede that was chopped cleanly in half. She wiped her hands on her suit, the slime sticking to it. She grimaced. "Ugh, that's gonna leave a stain." She complained, kicking away the insect's body. Tsukasa stood in the corner, shivering and covered in insect slime, as if when he moved, the centipede would come back to life. Nene leaped from the ceiling and cleanly landed with Minori, letting the girl down first. She walked over to Tsukasa and grinned cheekily, handing him a spare towel. He sighed deeply with a hint of gratefulness in his eyes as he took it. Kohane heard Shizuku come around the corner.
"Is everything all right over here?" The girl asked, worry lacing her soft voice. An gave her a big thumbs up as Shizuku's eyes widened at the sight of the bug.
"Extermination handled! But, my coat's all slimy now." An grumbled. Shizuku turned to Nene and Tsukasa and Nene nonchalantly shrugged.
"He'll be alright. Just let him stay here for a bit." She said. Tsukasa violently shook his head.
"Nope! Nuh uh! I am NOT staying here with the giant insect corpse!" He whined, sounding like a 6 year old who didn't want to go to bed. Nene rolled her eyes and took him by his collar, dragging him across the floor.
"Ignore the cry baby. I'll come back to investigate with you guys." Nene said as she left the door. Kohane slowly nodded as she watched the two leave. Shizuku touched her shoulder and brought Kohane back to reality.
"Shiraishi, we should find out why this... Ordeal happened." Shizuku said. An nodded, picking up the centipede's body and giving it a sniff. She gagged.
"Yup. Definitely from our planet. It has that musky, slime scent that everything has there." An said, her voice sounding sickened by it. Shizuku bent down towards the insect's body and took a bit of its slime in her fingers, curious. It was a radioactive green that seemed to glow.
"It must have come here somehow. Maybe... It followed us here..." Shizuku murmured to herself. Kohane still didn't exactly know what was going on. A giant centipede. In her house. Just living here. Great.
"Um... Could we... You know..." Kohane pointed outside with a chucking motion. An gave her a questioning glance but Shizuku nodded, taking the Centipede's head.
"Of course. Shiraishi, could you help me dispose of it?" Shizuku asked. It seemed to take a bit for it to click with An.
"Oh! Okay!" She eagerly said, grabbing the other half in her hands. The two shuffled out of the room, leaving Kohane alone. The girl sighed with relief and walked back out to the living room, spotting Nene and Minori sitting on the couch. Tsukasa was nowhere in sight. Neither were Airi and Haruka. Kohane really hoped they didn't leave the house... Nene spotted Kohane.
"Did they deal with that?" Nene asked. Kohane nodded, taking a seat next to Minori.
"How did the giant centipede get into the house?" Kohane mumbled, sounding incredibly exhausted. Nene hummed, searching through a database from a strange computer she had.
"It's a common thing on our planet. You see them everywhere. Very easy to deal with. But, I don't know how it got here... It must have had some sort of transport or gateway or... Something." Nene frustratingly closed the computer, her eyes sharp. Kohane heard a thud and saw Tsukasa come out of the hallway, his body wobbly and occasionally crashing into the wall. Nene sighed and stood up, taking his hand and guiding him to the couch like he was an old man crossing the street. "You're walking like one of the elders." Nene joked. Tsukasa gave her a light glare as he laid down, yawning.
"Today's been too eventful for my taste! The centipede was too much..." He grumbled. Nene punched him in the shoulder playfully. Minori giggled at him as Tsukasa sighed deeply.
"You even sound like an old man!" Minori joked, laughing. Tsukasa groaned, tossing Nene a glare.
"She's learning from you. At this point, everyone is going to make fun of me." He pouted, a frown on his face. Nene laughed.
"You're just easy to make fun of." Nene remarked, her eyes glistening with playfulness. Tsukasa couldn't help but grin. Kohane heard the doorbell ring and she walked over, opening the door. She saw Haruka and Airi. What was strange about this was Airi held a small ginger cat in her arms.
"Where did you find the cat?" Kohane asked, honestly too tired to even question it too much. Airi continued to cuddle and play with it as Haruka explained.
"She found it in your backyard. Our cats are... Interesting, to say the least. So, Airi was ecstatic." Haruka turned to look at her teammate, who had a wide grin on her face as she tickled the little cat. Kohane knew her house couldn't support 5 aliens, her friend, a snake, and a dog. Especially with a cat added to the mix. Her house would implode someday. But, she couldn't just make Airi let it go.
"Bring it in. We can sort this out later." Kohane said. Airi's eyes glistened as she pranced in with the cat. Haruka smiled following her friend inside. Kohane closed the door and suddenly wondered: Where were An and Shizuku? They've been gone for a bit already... Maybe they couldn't find a place to dispose of the insect? Kohane didn't know. The only thing she could do now is wait for them to hopefully come back in one piece.
"*I wish we could give them all phones or something... Actually, they might explode the phones now that I think about it.*" Kohane sighed, imagining An trying to use her phone and it ending up as a pile of ashes. Suddenly, someone rang her doorbell again. Kohane trudged over, tired and ready to fall asleep on the couch. When she opened the door, hopefully for the last time, she was met with Toya. The tall boy was sweaty and panted, as if he ran over here. Kohane suddenly was worried. "Toya? Are you alright?" She asked, concerned. The boy's eyes looked scared.
"A-Azusawa... A weird thing happened at the Shinonomes. Akito told me to come over and ask one of the others..." Toya panted between words, obviously winded. Kohane invited him inside but he shook his head, obviously urgent. Instead of waiting, he spat it out.
"Ena has gone missing and we don't know why. Akito thinks it has something to do with the other aliens."Word count: 1218 words
