Chapter 3 - The Intruder... Is a Cheetah?

(Introducing, Nene and Tsukasa, first alien assassins spotted on Earth)

Kohane groggily woke up in her bed and her vision was a bit blurred. The morning sun shone through the blinds and she smelled something smoky. Kohane didn't know where the smoke was coming from and thought someone was barbequing. But then that wouldn't make sense as it was 6 in the morning. But as her vision became focused, she saw gray smoke emitting from the other room. It was coming from the kitchen. She sprang from her bed with her yellow daisy pajamas on and ran into the kitchen

She was hit by a cloud of smoke and saw An looking at a smoking pot. "IT SMELLS NICE! KOHANE WHAT IS IT?" An yelled over the smoke alarm that was beeping irritably. "AN NO!" Kohane ran towards the sink to get water in a cup. She then poured it over the smoke and the pot stopped smoking. It revealed badly burnt bacon that was practically charcoal and her pot was now ruined. She sighed and An looked disappointed. "Aw, the bacons a bit burned. Well, still edible!" An grabbed one of the bacons from the hot pot and crunched on it.

Kohane slightly cringed at the crunch. "An, I don't think that's edible..." Kohane said but her voice faded when An ate the charcoal bacon like candy. An looked at Kohane and took another burnt bacon and offered it to Kohane. She politely shook her head so An shrugged and crunched it up. "When did you even wake up?" Kohane asked. An finished eating the bacon and wiped her face. "The loud clock thing woke me up so I first broke it and then went into the kitchen to make breakfast. Do you want more?" An asked. Kohane would rather eat Count Pearl's food. At least the mice have meat in them. "Oh no, I'm fine. I'll just make something myself." Kohane tried declining as politely as possible.

The short girl quickly made small pancakes and set a plate aside for An. The alien girl tasted one and instantly lit up. "This is almost better then the little cakes we have back home! Mizuki always made them for us." An now looked a little sad thinking about it. Kohane felt bad for the alien girl and got an idea. "Maybe you could go outside for a bit? There's a grocery store nearby you could buy some stuff." Kohane said. An perked up and her eyes were shining again. "It sounds fun! I can change my skin if you want." An's blue skin suddenly changed to a normal peach tone. Kohane grabbed a bag and handed it to An.

"You can buy groceries if you want." Kohane smiled and An grinned and took the bag. "See ya Kohane!" She ran outside and Kohane sighed and sat down on a chair. "What did I get myself into..."

(Outside of the Azusawa household)

There was a tree planted outside next to the sidewalk in a planter. In the leaves were two aliens about 18 and 20. One was a girl with gray green hair and a boy with blonde hair and peach tips. "Looks like she left. Alright I'm gonna go in, kill the girl, and we'll meet back here got it?" The greened haired girl whispered to the blonde boy. He dramatically sighed. "Why do I have to look for the other girl Nene when you can stay here and just kill her in the house?" He whined. Nene rolled her eyes. "Oh shut up Tsukasa, the girl's just gonna go home anyway. Now shut your mouth up I'm leaving." Nene jumped from the tree, hearing the annoyed sigh from Tsukasa in the trees.

Nene got to the front door and took out a hairclip. She picked the lock and entered the dark house. Nene took out a knife and started creeping around the house. She entered the quiet little kitchen to find her soon to be victim, sleeping peacefully on a chair. Nene grinned and she got behind Kohane and was about to deliver the blow when a sound stopped her. The sound of the door opening. "Hey Kohane? I got the weird fruit things!" An's voice echoed from the door and Nene froze up. An entered the kitchen, her skin turning back to blue and she stopped and stared at Nene, who was holding the knife in her right hand. Black tiger ears sprouted from the top of An's head and she started growling.

Nene spat and transformed into a green cheetah with purple eyes, the knife dropping to the floor. An turned into the black and blue tiger and Nene leaped at her, claws unsheathed. They started tussling and crashing into the walls, their claws cutting each other and the wall. Kohane woke up and looked at what was causing the commotion. She found the two large cats about to rip each other apart in her living room. "Wait what's happening An?!" Kohane tried yelling over the sounds of spitting and hissing. An's claw slashed over one of Nene's amethyst eyes and she yowled and sprang back into the wall. She transformed back into Nene and her lef eye was shut with a bloody scratch over it. She spat curses and a cheetah rail sprouted from behind her. An turned back into an alien and defensively went in front of Kohane. "Now what was that for Shiraishi?" Nene hissed. "I saw you with a knife over my new friends what was I supposed to be let you stab her?" An retorted. Kohane was confused.

"Wait she had a knife?" Kohane asked. An nodded and Nene wiped the blood off her face and she softly felt the scratch over her eye. "Gonna scar. Damn you Shiraishi." Cheetah ears sprouted in the top of her head. An grinned. "Well you finally got a scar Kusanagi after two years. That's my new feat." An said proudly. Kohane was still confused. "Um who is she An?" Kohane asked. "Nene Kusanagi. Assassin. 18 years old. The stingiest alien on the entire planet." An said matter of factly. Nene rolled her eyes. "I am NOT stingy. I just like getting my work done." Nene said. An rolled her eyes. "Well, who hired you?" An asked. Nene shrugged. "Unanimous. Tsukasa and I just took it since we were bored." Nene sat down on the couch and blood spilled on the pillows from the cuts on her arms. Kohane didn't know what to say or do.

"Is your friend fine with me waiting here? She seems confused." Nene asked An. The black haired girl nodded. "Kohane would you be fine with it? She'll probably know your answer anyway. She can read minds." An whispered the last part. Kohane found that unsettling. "Um you could wait here for your friend. And maybe not try to stab me or anything?" Kohane said hopefully. Nene sighed and nodded. "Time to wait for that blonde idiot."
