Confession

(I was listening to this song while I wrote this it was very fitting I love Cavetown and especially love this song <3 hope you enjoy this chapter!)

Gus POV

After like 10 minutes of waiting I heard the door open and looked behind me. My dad had just gotten home. He saw me and I just put a finger to my mouth. I grabbed a pillow and set Matt's head on it as I carefully got up. I walked over to my dad who was getting the leftover lasagna from the fridge and tapped his shoulder. He looked over at me. "Yea Gus" he said with a smile. "So um dad... I um well I uh" I stuttered. "Take a breath and think of what you're trying to say" my dad said with a little chuckle. I took a deep breath and smiled. "IKISSEDMATTANDIMEANHEKISSEDMEBACKBUTIDONTKNOWIFIMREADYFORALLTHATYETWHATDOIDO!?" I said all too fast for me to even process. My dad laughed quietly to not wake Matt. "Ok hun I didn't catch that try again but slower". My dad said with a soft smile.

I looked away and nodded. "So I kissed Matt and he kissed me back and we both confessed we liked each other but I don't know if I'm ready for a relationship yet." I said anxiously. My dad gave me a big soft smile and sat down on the floor. I sat with him. I hugged him tightly and he hugged me back. I sat back up and looked at him.  His eyes were wide open and he took a second to process. "Gus look I'm so glad you told me. You're a little young for a full on relationship and it's very mature of you to realize that, so maybe tell him and just take it slow for a while?" He said roughing up me hair.  I nodded with a smile on my face. My dad always gave the best advice.

I looked at the couch. I saw Matt sit up and I watched him panic when he realized I was gone. He was frantically looking around everywhere for me. Then he looked behind him and saw me. He sighed deeply and got up walking towards up. He saw my dad and his face became a little anxious. "M-mr. Porter h-hi um d-do you mind if I... stay the n-night?" He stuttered. I just laughed and looked at him. He was so awkward around adults it was cute. My dad chuckled and put his hand on Matt's shoulder. Matt flinched and looked away closing his eyes as if waiting for impact. My heart sunk and my dad definitely noticed. "Matt don't worry Gus already told me you were staying" my dad said softly. Matt looked at me and smiled his eyes soft and calmer now. My heart fluttered and my face got red. "Matt you're always welcome here don't worry about it." My dad added. "T-thanks Mr. Porter he said giving a small bow." My dad just laughed. "Call me Perry please you don't need to be so formal around me." "Ok thanks- Perry." Matt said looking at my dad smiling now.

"Ok you boys have school tomorrow so go get some sleep. Speaking of which do you have any of your stuff here Matt?" Matt shook his head. "Alright do you want me to go pick it up right now?" Matt's eyes went wide and he frantically shook his head "U-uh everyone is probably asleep and my house is close enough to here so I'll be fine!" He said awkwardly. I just gave him a look and reached for his hand squeezing it tightly. He looked at me his face bright red but after a second or two he just smiled. I loved it when Matt smiled.

"Alright now go to bed boys I'll make screpes tomorrow morning before I go to work." My dad said. (Screpes are crepes but spooky✨ basically just screaming crepes idk I tried to be creative) My eyes widened with joy and I basically squealed jumping up with joy. "Okay dad! We'll go to bed!" I said excitedly I loved my dad's screpes they were so good!

I grabbed Matt's hand and ran upstairs dragging him behind me. I heard my dad laugh but I just kept dragging him. "G-Gus" Matt said as I was dragging him up the stairs he was laughing really hard. Admittedly it was cute but I find most things he does cute. I let him go when we got to the top and he fell and hit his head. He got up scratching the back of his head. Without thinking I picked him up like a child or bridal style but personally he looked more like a 5 year old child in my arms. "Gus what the hell?! I can walk you don't have to carry me like a child!" Matt yelled. "Awwww but you are a child" I smirked. He rolled his eyes and stuck his tongue out. "Point proven" I said sassily. I walked into my room and plopped him onto my bed. "Alright Mattholomule it's past your bedtime so go to sleep" I said carrying on this joke. "But I don't wanna! I hate you you're so mean I'm never talking to you again." Matt said in a babyish sort of voice sitting on the bed crisscrossed with his arms folded over his chest. A few seconds later we both burst out laughing our asses off. I fell onto the bed landing on my back. Matt fell backwards too.

"Ok seriously we should go to sleep." Matt said looking at me while still lying down. "Yeah I'll sleep on the floor" I said. "Dude you have this massive bed we can just share" Matt said. My face turned bright red. Matt took a second and then his face turned bright red. I looked down for a second and looked back at Matt. "Hey Matt um do you think we could take it slow?" I said. Matt looked confused and then after a bit he nodded "Yea I'm not ready for a relationship right now for sure." I smiled and hugged him he hugged me back. After that Matt fell asleep and I fell asleep a few minutes later.

(Okay so I'm going to time skip for next chapter cause yea- also love you all I can't believe the support I'm getting even if it's not much! )

(Also I thought it was so funny how they called him precious cause he is! I kin Gus so much I'm gonna cry)
