Cordelia's nimble fingers carefully braided Jane's brunette locks as she complained about boys and being pretty, but abruptly stopped when she heard the girl wince in pain. "Sorry, just tell me when I'm hurting you," she smiled before continuing to work on her hair.

"I'm never going to have a boyfriend!" Jane exclaimed with despair, causing the other three girls in the room to chuckle. "Boyfriends are overrated," Mal affirmed, not glancing up from the piece of paper she was drawing on.

"How do you know, Mal? You've never actually had one. And besides, Cor is technically the only one who even came close to being in a relationship," Evie smirked, looking over at the girl who just finished the plait on Jane's hair. "Correction, I was in a relationship, an on-and-off one to be exact."

"You were? You have to tell me about it, everything!" Jane became excited, turning to face her with an ear-to-ear grin. "There's not much to say except that we were together for about two years... And it probably wasn't the best relationship."

"Nor the healthiest relationship," one of the girls mumbled under their breath — presumably Evie who clearly didn't approve of their romance as time passed — causing Cordelia to send a scowl her way. "E."

"What? Did he even take you on a romantic date, ever?" She retorted, continuing to sew the dress she had only started tailoring. "Several, maybe a handful of times."

"Yeah, to Shrimpy's good ol' restaurant," Mal scoffed. Everyone on the Isle knew of her and Uma's rivalry, which dates back to their early years. What started as childish behavior evolved into a requited feud between the two, involving all of those around them.

Harry and Cordelia beginning a romantic relationship was based on chance, after having built up tension for years on end. Breaking the news even came back as a shock to their respective sides.

"That must be a lifeless and dreadful relationship, Cordelia! How did you even stay with him, let alone rekindle it a few times more?" Jane professed, earning a high-five from Mal on the opposite bed. "Right!" Evie agreed, holding up the dress to see if it was up to all of their standards.

"Okay! Let's stop talking about how terrible and awful my ex-boyfriend was to me," she sighed, knowing that the girls' claims were accurate. Harry Hook wasn't the ideal partner at the time, but man... He did drive her insane from passion. The boy was so intoxicating and full of life that each day spent with him was wild... And maybe that was what she wanted?

"How about we add some flowers into your hair to enhance the pattern of the braid?" She offered, rising from her bed and walking over to the drawer that was designated just for her floral arrangement equipment. "That'd be amazing if you did."
