The girl was strolling around the campus garden with Alec — admiring the different flowers that blossomed — when Ben came around and asked to take her on a romantic date someplace special. So now, like any ordinary person who's been asked out, Cordelia was searching high and low for her best friends... Specifically, Evie and Mal, who were the most reliable when it came to stuff like this.

"There you are!" She exclaimed with relief, but her facial expression said otherwise. Walking towards the picnic table they were at, she acknowledges Doug with a friendly 'hi' before continuing, "I have been looking for the both of you literally everywhere!"

"What's wrong?" Evie responded quickly, worried about her friend's well-being. She seemed agitated, which was so unlike the girl. "You do know you're sort of acting like a mad woman..." The other added, watching her face twist and turn from trying to form the right words.

"Ben just asked me out on... A date," her words slur out the last part, causing the others to chuckle at her behavior. "Looks like someone's finally going to be taken out the correct way," the girl beside Doug smirked, "we can handle this." She linked her arms with Cordelia's, tugging her to their shared dormitory room while Mal followed closely behind.

After Evie tucked a lost strand of hair behind the girl's ear, she began to retouch the blush on her cheeks, seeing she was looking a little too pale for her liking. However, she abruptly stopped when her arm was softly swatted away. "Okay. Easy on the blush. I don't want to scare him away... Not that I could."

"Please. My mom taught me how to apply blush before I could talk. Always use upward strokes," Cordelia smiled at the advice given to her. "My mom was never really big on makeup tips... I never had a sister."

"Well, now you have two," her head motions over to Mal lying in bed, reading over her book for spells that may come in use during her date, "we're going to need all the family we can get if we don't pull this off. My mother's not a barrel of laughs when she doesn't get her way, just ask Snow White."

"Have you seen my mother? Name another villain who beheads people irrationally." She snorts out a laugh, but her smile gradually falters. "Are you afraid of her?"

"Sometimes... Are you afraid of your mom?"

"I just want her to be proud of me, and I think I'm already doing the opposite of that," pursing her lips together, Cordelia looked away, "I was supposed to carry out her revenge on Alice, but I ended up liking the company her son brings me. She gets so angry at me when I disappoint her. And yeah, she's my mom, so I know she loves me... In her own way."
