LIAM
She didn't know.
Odessa doesn't know how popular she really is and no, it's not because she crossed paths with me.
Oakwood's art department is big enough to be a high school and it's so far from the sport department, one needs to drive to travel between the two so we're literally from different worlds.
It's the only reason I can think of, for not knowing her...well that and I am also very conceited sometimes.
But she is hotshit and I hate that she doesn't know that.
I saw how her face turned grim when Jessica listed out her accomplishments and she downplayed them like they were an easy or a normal thing. But her program has thousands of students and she gets picked first for all.
Singing, choir, dancing, orchestra...all of them want her to play. One of the IT guys even told me that investors request her by name for their parties.
If that's not popular, I don't know what is.
"You got that Liam?"
Shit.
"Ah—"
"I said Odessa is about as affectionate as a rock. You'll have to take the lead on the PDA." Jessica fills out.
"Pass," I shake my head. "She already bit me."
"Kinky," she winks at her friend. "Was it in public?" I nod and she actually claps her hands, "go Odie!"
"Not really," I remove the ice pack to show her the swollen lip. "She did this, then ran away. I had to chase her down the hall."
"Vecker!" Jessica scolds.
"He kissed me out of the blue," she defends. "The hell was I supposed to do? Jump his bones?"
"Yes!" Jessica has a duh expression. "You are worse than I expected."
"No one even saw us." Odessa mumbles but she couldn't be more wrong.
They were people still lurking around and the kiss was short so it definitely caught someone's attention.
"Which is why we are practicing." Jessica pulls me up and pushes me to Odessa's couch. "Stand," she tells her.
"What now?" Odessa is on her feet.
"Sit on his lap." She points at said lap.
"Why?" Odessa's brows knit together.
She wears the expression so much. I'm surprised she doesn't have a permanent wrinkle on her forehead.
"Because sometimes, girlfriends sit on their boyfriend's laps Odessa," Jessica scolds. "I'd say kiss but we need you to crawl before you can walk."
Odessa looks at me, then my lap then back at Jessica. After a painful 23 seconds, she goes down.
