Chapter 1: Beginnings

Sheriff Obi Wan Kenobi

"Howdy there." Kenobi said standing between Grevious and the mayor. " I like your new look. Did you perhaps get a new haircut?"

" Sheriff Kenobi. You are a bold one." Grevious crocked.

" I see that you are having a hard time with all the dust." Obi Wan said kicking some dirt.

" I see you've got a new hat." Grevious said coming closer. This caused Obi Wan to back up towards the mayor.

" That hat, will be a fine addition to my collection." Grevious said with a smile.

" What do you want with Mayor Kryze?" Obi Wan questioned.

" Merely for business." Grevious said advancing forward.

" Sheriff Kenobi will have his way with you." Satine said standing tall. " If Maul wants to speak to me. Let him come. I know very well your intentions. I will never primate my town to be under such governing. Especially under his rule."

Grevious scowled. He held his gun up. " I'm not leaving until I get what I came for."

Obi Wan mirrored his action. Grevious shot. The blast echoed. Obi Wan was able to get out of the way. He quickly rolled and stuck Grevious in the arm. Grevious cried out in pain. He took Obi Wan by the cuff of the shirt and threw him onto the ground. Obi Wan grunted at the hard impact. Obi Wan barely moved his head to the left when he saw someone on the rooftops. It was Cody. Obi Wan stared for a moment before getting back up. Grevious lunged at him. Obi Wan moved gracefully out of the way. He struck Grevious in the back. He fell to the ground in pain.

Grevious then did the unexpected. He swung his legs around and caught Obi Wans. This caused Obi Wan to fall and hit his head hard on the dirt. He could have sworn he saw stars. He reached for his gun, but Grevious pushed it away from his reach.

" Obi Wan!" Satine cried and started to shot Grevious. Grevious turned around and started to shoot in Satine's direction. She quickly ducked for cover. Obi Wan got up and tackled Grevious to the ground. Grevious threw him off so effortlessly. Obi Wan rolled and found a lasso hanging up. He approached Grevious and hit him hard in the arm.

CRACK. Obi Wan had broken Grevious's wrist with the swift movement. Grevious cried out in pain and dropped the gun. Before he could react, Obi Wan punched him in the stomach. This caused him to fall. Grevious started to cough. Obi Wan took this moment to tie him up.

" This is not over!" Grevious seethed through his teeth.

" It is." Obi wan said. " Cody." Grevious gave a confused look. At that moment Cody appeared from one of the dark alleyways and stunned Grevious. He fell limp onto the ground.

" Get him on a wagon to Courasant Cody. There he can be questioned by the Board of Courasant. I want to know really what he is up too. If it includes Maul, we need to be ready." Obi Wan said dusting himself off. He also added, "Thank you for your help. You always come when I need you too." He padded Cody's shoulder.

Cody only smiled. Obi Wan went on,

"I will see to the mayor and see if she is alright." Cody nodded.

" Yes sir. I'll inform Sheriff Skywalker and Tano of his coming." Cody said. " Boost! Sinker! I need you over here!" He called. Obi Wan left and went to Satine who sat on a crate. She was cleaning a wound on her hand. Obi Wan sighed.

" I see you got hurt." He went inside one of the shops and quickly came out with a medical kit. Satine smiled gratefully. Her smile then faded into a look of concern.

" Me? Hurt? Dear Kenobi, you've got a big bruise on your cheek. Not to mention a few scratch marks." She said skimming over a scratch with her finger. he hissed. He looked at her and swiped some of his hair from his face.

" I'll be fine. This will all heal in time. I'm more worried for you."

" Tis  nothing but scratch." Satine said brushing his concern.

Obi Wan nodded and managed a small smile, " He won't be here anymore." He winced and moved his mouth, " He's being transferred to Courasant. Hopefully the Board will know what to do with him."

" I hope you're right." Satine said handing Obi wan a wipe to clean his face. He took it and slowly started to clean himself.

" There is a gathering happening in Courasant." Satine began, " all the mayors and sheriffs are to go to discuss about the criminal acts that have been happening lately. "

"It's been what? 14 years since our last meeting?" Obi Wan calculated.

" Fifteen actually." Satine corrected. " The attacks," she sighed, "they've been persistent."

" I can't say I haven't noticed." Obi wan said setting the wipe down. " The town of Pantora. I heard there was an attack between the natives and angry pirates."

" Yes, and Ventress, she's been very forceful with his attacks on Courasant." Satine added.

" Not just him, but Cad Bane." Obi Wan reminded, " He somehow managed to sneak into the Board Building. I'm glad that he's in custody."

" There are so many attacks all at the same time." Satine noted. She then added," We need to find out who is orchestrating this mase chaos." Satine said furrowing her brow.

" I may have a good idea who it might be." Obi was said. " Dooku. Having the mastermind, he has; I can't see why that wouldn't fit."

" It all makes sense." Satine said getting up. " I must get back. Thank you, Kenobi." She said sincerely walking away.

Obi Wan bobbed his head and stood up. " It was a pleasure." he said fiddling with the wipe he had in his hand.

" Satine!" he called. She turned around.

" You better pack now." Satine held a face of confusion. "Kenobi, we don't need to leave yet."

" I know," he said coming closer, " but I want to discuss a few things with Anakin." Satine nodded.

" When would you like us to leave?" Obi Wan tilted his head side to side.

" Now?" It sounded more like a question.

" Now?!" Satine cried.

" A few of the men are headed to Courasant." Obi Wan explained, " Instead, I want those men to stay here, and I'll get Cody to take us there. Might as well, right?"

Satine nodded. " I'll be ready in a few hours." She said walking away.

Obi Wan jogged over to the wagon where Grevious was held in.

" Cody!" he called. Cody walked away from the wagon.

" Sir."

" Change in plans. I need you to come with me to Courasant."
