Chapter 5 | Headaches

Location: The Town of Courasant: The Courasant Council
Padme Amidala, Ahsoka Tano, and Rex

" That is my idea." Padme finished.

" Invade the Senate building we must. Stop Palpatine we will." Yoda said with an approved nod.

" I'll take Sheriff's Fisto, Koler and Tiin." Mace said standing up.

" Who will go for Skywalker if things go south?" Sheriff Shakk Ti asked in her calm demeanor.

" Sheriff Kenobi will." Ahsoka said. " He's the closest to Anakin."

" What about the towns people though?" Sheriff Plo asked. " We must keep them safe."

" I'm sure they'll be fine. Now adays they're mostly indoors." Sheriff Qui Gon said. " Since the new reinforcements, I've haven't heard the laughter of children or the talk of the ' normally' busy town. I miss it." His eyes showed sadness.

" I see the fear in everyone's eyes. No more joy or light in them." Sheriff Mundi added.

" What if things go unexpectedly. What if Palpatine releases his wrath on the town's people," Rex asked. " We need to find the towns people shelter just in case."

" We will send them through the Canyon way and into the cave that is in-bedded in the wall of the canyon." Sheriff Windu answered pointing to the map of Courasant that was laid out on the table.

" Yes, send them through the mine we must. Protect the people from Palpatine's wrath we will." Yoda said nodding his head in approval.

" What about the bounty hunters?" Sheriff Jarrus asked. " They're going to be running lose. And if they hear this, which, most likely they will cause of the spies that may be lurking at every corner, this will turn into mass chaos."

" Well," Padme started, " The attack and the attacks are going to be mainly in this town. The Sheriff's will leave their towns to come here. As for the surrounding towns, they'll be evacuated into safe houses and places. I have a feeling that the brunt of the war is going to be here, in the Courasant."

" Seeing as though the attacks are mainly in this town," Sheriff Ayla spoke, " I can't see why it's possible."

" Begun war, we have." Yoda said getting up. "Meet in the old mine we will for further instructions. All Sheriffs are to come. At night fall we go."

Mace got up and nodded his head, "Sounds like a plan. Till then, meeting adjourned."

Padme nodded her head and exited the building with Rex and Ahsoka behind her.

" I can't believe we're doing this." Rex spoke. As they walked through the dusty roads of Courasant. He dipped his head slightly because of the sudden blast of sun in comparison to the dimly lit room they were just in. He tilted his hat from the blaring sun. He then grunted and rubbed his temples briefly. Hoping no one saw. That little gesture did not go unnoticed by Ahsoka.

" What's wrong?" She asked.

" Just a nagging headache is all." Rex answered curtly." I've kept pretty hydrated." He added, "I haven't anything new either. I haven't been outside much either. Yes, I've thought of all that that you might be thinking."

" Perhaps you're out in the sun for too long?" Padme asked in concern. " Yesterday you were gone a little while doing something by the train station."

" Mmm, I've been in hotter for much longer." Rex answered sighing. " I did take some medication-"

" Is it really that bad to take it?" Ahsoka interrupted stopping to look at him. Her eyes full of concern. " You don't normally have to take medication. You normally just sleep or shrug it off."
