Ch. 3

Four years after Jieun's death, Soojung still felt like it was her fault that Jieun was murdered. The fact that she was murdered made Soojung even more uncomfortable.

It's been exactly 4 years after Jieun had died, and Soojung debated to herself if she should go back to the place Jieun died, which was the park.

The problem is, after being promoted to being one of the most influential people in Korea, Soojung was going to get caught escaping from her house.

Ultimately, Soojung decided to sneak out of her house to go pay her respects to Jieun. She quietly slipped out of her bed, rethinking about her decision, but ended up continuing with her plan.

Since she didn't want to get caught sneaking out again, she put red contacts onto her eyes, which made her look like a wolverine.

After slipping on the contacts, she quietly tiptoed over to her bedroom window, which creaked like hell when you try to open it. Luckily, her sister Sooyeon slept in a different room.

When she managed to open the window, which flew open with a loud screech, she quickly climbed out of the window onto the ground and grabbed a stick. The stick was meant for the window to not close/lock while Soojung was away, or else she wouldn't be able to go back into her house.

Soojung quickly ran barefoot in her sweat pants and a hot pink sweater to where Jieun had died 4 years earlier. If only they didn't get caught, Jieun would be 19 years old, probably doing what all the other wolverines at that age would be doing: military training.

She quickly ran across the street, which was empty due to the fact that humans were asleep at this time and Wolves weren't allowed to have cars.

When she stepped onto the rich soil of the park, she closed her eyes and recreated the scene of Jieun dying.

Dragged to the middle of the park...

Begging for her life...

Shot to death...

"Hello." Someone tapped her should, which freaked her out and barely managed to not scream aloud.

She spun around and saw a stranger standing there in a nice pair of jeans, a cotton blue shirt, and Adidas shoes. He had the red eyes of a wolf, but the body of a human. He was a half-wolf.

"Please don't report me to the cops." She whispered, worried that her family would be put into shame because of her actions.

He lightly laughed to himself and fiddled with his hair.

"Why would I report such a beauty to the cops?" He smiled, taking her hand.

Soojung's heart started fluttering, and she didn't know how to respond. She was confused at why her heart was beating so fast even though she had just met this guy.

"Are you blushing, love? The temperate in your cheeks are rising."

Oh, right. Wolves had amazing senses. She thought to herself.

"I don't know... but I'm sure my heart is beating very fast." She admitted, which made her blush even more.

"I'm lucky to have someone from the 'Chosen' faction those kinds of affections for me. I'm truly honored." He leaned in a gave her a light kiss on her lips.

It's not like she's never kissed a guy before. She had to do it for dramas and movies in the past, and the kisses were always quick and non-affectionate.

However, this kiss felt different for her. The way he gave her a kiss, slowly but with ease and love, made her feel like she was his.

"Yes, my name is Jung Soojung. I'm sure you already know who I am. What should I call you, love?" She had already started flirting with him.

"Just call me 'Jongin'. Kim Jongin." He felt her cheeks with his thumb.

She stared up into his dark red eyes and practically fell in love with him. She told herself that she would never meet up with a Wolf ever again, but she lied to herself. Soojung had to keep seeing Jongin.

Soojung went onto her tippy toes and kissed his cheek.

"I will see you tomorrow, here, at this time." She whispered into his ear before leaving him there, befuddled and confused.

Before Soojung fell asleep in her bed, she quietly cried to herself, worried about how she felt towards Jongin.

"I think I've fallen in love with a Wolf."
