Jung Soojung, also knows as 'Krystal', grew up in a world full of lies. Her friends, family, and even her enemies have told horrible stories about the wolves.

However, as someone who is so sensitive about hurting others, she tried to defend the wolves every time the wolf topic came up. As she was of the 'Chosen' faction, she wasn't allowed to say those words in public. Instead, the government had forced her to tell all the citizens that the wolves were dangerous things, and should not be messed with.

Soojung knew better than what everyone thought. The wolves weren't horrible at all. In fact, she had secretly met with a wolf girl when she snuck out of her house at midnight.

The wolverine's name was So Jieun, and both of her parents were born half-wolf. Jieun, at the time, was 15 while Soojung was 16, making Jieun younger than Soojung by 1 year.

That night, when the two were secretly talking, Soojung found out how the wolves were truly treated.

The public was afraid of them, always criticizing their ancestors for mating with an animal. But, for a fact, the Wolves were created by experiment by the government.

Privately, at school and training, they were treated way worse than the public would treat them. Their teachers would whip them if they did one thing wrong, even if they were sick or weak. Training was always vigorous and at least kills 3 Wolves per year because of it.

Dog training, the teachers would call it. There were many things that were done in training, but these were the two main things they were taught:

-Physical training: Running 5 miles as fast as you can without stopping at all. (If you stop for even one millisecond, you will lose your next meal.)

-Temptation: Learning how to hold back on wanting to murder/love someone.

Jieun explained how everything worked for the Wolves, including their daily schedule. When the humans went to bed and locked up their doors at 9 p.m., that is the Wolves' morning.

The wolves live much like the humans, and they have the same schedule's as a normal human, except, instead of break after school, they would be giving vigorous training.

After speaking to Jieun every night at midnight, Soojung knew that Jieun was someone she could not let go. Even though Soojung grew up in a world of liars and false statements, Soojung trusted Jieun and promised her that Soojung would try to help Jieun and all her fellow Wolves.

But it couldn't happen. Deep down inside her heart, Soojung knew she couldn't do it. How can she, someone without any political authority, start a revolution? Especially when 99.9999% of the citizens believe in castes and no equality?

That same night, after Soojung fake-promised Jieun about starting a new revolution, they were caught redhanded speaking to each other.

At first, the night inspector thought that Soojung was a wolf, due to the fact that Soojung had she was speaking with another wolf. On closer inspection, the inspector realized that Soojung was a human, due to the fancy clothes she wore and the non-red eyes she had.

The inspector called their families and cops to come deal with the mess.

Shortly after the call, both families and cops gathered together at the park where Jieun and Soojung were meeting.

"You'll remember this day closely." One of the cops yelled at the families of the victims and dragged Jieun to the middle of the park.

The cops shoved her down onto her knees and brought out their guns.

"Please... let me live." Soojung heard Jieun beg for her life.

The cops swore at her for being a traitor just like the stories told and started shooting her. Not once, but multiple times.

Soojung watched in fear, falling down onto her knees and cried onto the ground. She's always had a soft spot for those who were treated the way they weren't supposed to be treated, and this incident pained her the most out of all of them. Jieun, the wolverine whom Soojung dearly regarded as a sister for a short period of time, was shot many times and slaughtered in front of Soojung's eyes.

"Jieun-ah..." She mourned, grabbing the handkerchief out of her pajamas and cried into it.

Jieun's parents immediately started begging the cops for mercy, and asked that they would be forgiven just this once.

"The Jung family will decide if you live or not." The head cop looked into Soojung's family's direction.

"Appa, don't do it... they're innocent people."
Sooyeon grabbed her father's arms.

"Don't you call them 'innocent' or 'people'. Yes, Officer Goo, they die tonight." Sooyeon and Soojung's father commanded, flicking Sooyeon's hands off of his arm.

The cops started dragging the parents of So Jieun next to her lifeless body and did the exact same thing they did with Jieun to the parents.

Sooyeon knelt down next to Soojung as the parents were being murdered by heartless people.

Instead of apologizing for such an accident, Sooyeon just rubbed her sister's back.

"I hope your younger daughter learns her lesson today, Sir Jung." Officer Goo firmly said.

"I'm sure she did." Sir Jung grunted, starting to move back to their car.

Before Soojung joined her family in the car, she rebelled the humans and ran over to Jieun's resting spot.

"Rest in peace, my dear So Jieun." She knelt down and gave the wolverine a kiss on the forehead.

A tear slipped down and fell onto Jieun's cheek, which made it look like Jieun was the one crying instead of Soojung.

And ever since the day that Jieun and her family was murdered, Soojung had never dared to meet another Wolf, for she was the one at fault for Jieun's death.
