Cyno's POV:
When I saw the guy who had just approached us, I felt sick to my stomach. The way he stared at Nari made me shake to my core.
"Nari, let's go." I demanded, and I grabbed his wrist and left.
"Cyno? What's up?" Nari questioned. That's when everything went black. For both of us...
Tighnari's POV:
I woke up and immediately looked for Cyno. When I heard an evil laugh, like one you would hear in a movie!
I looked up, and what I saw made tears form. It was the Fatui Harbinger that traumatised Collei. The Doctor.
He pointed beside me,so I turned my head to see Cyno! In chains. He looked in so much pain that it was unbearable to watch. Then the doctor pointed to my left side where Collei was also chained up, squeezing her eyes as tight as possible.
"Choose."
I widened my eyes, and my ears sunk low in despair. I knew what he meant.
There was no one who could ever keep me quiet, but now only silence filled the room.
"If you don't choose quickly, both of them will have no chance of watching the sunrise ever again."
My mind was racing, and my heart was thumping.
I loved Cyno deeply, but Collei was like a sister until I thought out loud.
"COLLEI!"
I realised what I had said, regret filled my veins, and then only one thing flooded my ears. A scream that could be heard from the pits of hell itself. It was Cyno's.
I couldn't do this any longer, I looked at the floor.
Then it stopped, and a thump was heard against the marble floor.
Tears trickled down my cheeks...
Cyno... was dead.
- End of flashback -
"Master Tighnari? You zoned out again!" Collei said.
"Oh, I'm sorry, my mind was just 'lost in the forest'."
