Chapter 06

Yezun's POV

My head was aching. I didn't remember anything. At first, I couldn't see anything either. Even when I could, it was all dark grey. I looked at my front, right and left. I was surrounded by walls. But there was a light. So, I looked up. There wasn't a roof. But I knew this cubicle-like thing was inside a building. There was a roof above, just not on the cubicle. I tried flying, but I couldn't even get my wings out. Just then, I realized a dark force was trapping me in a poll.

I wanted to scream for help. But when we were 10, my 'Mama Wei' taught me not to scream in these kinds of situations. I meant, what if someone bad hears it? So, I started trying to get rid of this power which was holding me back. I couldn't help to hiss from the pain it caused.

"Aww... baby. Does it hurt?" Suddenly, I heard a scary voice in which I failed to see the owner. Then I felt someone caressing my neck towards my chest. At the same time, I felt some other fingertips touching my nape. I wanted to turn my head but another hand held me in the place.

"What a pleasant surprise. I never thought it was your twin. Wow! That's just wow!"

"Who are you? Why can't I see you? And what about my Wei? Don't dare to hurt him."

"Woah, woah! Baby, you are so pure, you know? I'm so sad that you don't know that this purity is gonna kill you one day."

"What are you talking? Show me your face before I punch you." "Aww, so cute of you! How can you punch me when you are trapped here?"

"Who are you? Why are you doing this to me?" My throat was burning at this point. "Please, let me go."

Shen Wei's POV

"ALPHA! We found the location." "Get the team ready. We are departing now." Yunlan held my hand and took me to the room where he kept his weapons. Then he started getting everything he needed. He didn't talk to me a word. I didn't know what to do. It was my fault. He told me that he wouldn't hate me though. But he was stuck like me before. He did know that I had a brother but not a twin. I couldn't bring myself to tell him about Yezun because I didn't want to lose anyone and wanted to keep everyone safe and happy.

"Wei?"

"Huh?" sigh

I was out of my mind again. "You okay, Wei? Listen, dear. I...I'm not mad at you. It's just...I-"

"It's okay, Ah Lan. I know it's difficult for you. You can hate me." "Wei, I love you! It's just...you could have told me, love. And remember, as soon as we save your twin, I will reject him. So that they won't use him to hurt me or you."
