THE LONGING BUTTERFLY

Chapter 15

It's another pleasant and beautiful morning to the Drilora. Was it the same for the palace, too? Yes, it was. With the melodies of the magical creatures, Wei let his doe eyes take all the light in. But today, he didn't see the same ceiling art he used to see every morning. Instead, he saw his reflection, staring at him from straight top of him. He lifted himself instantly to see what in the Drilora was happening there. But his forehead collided with the reflection in a split second, causing him pain.

"Owwch!" Surprisingly, both Wei and the reflection let out an irritated 'ouch' simultaneously. But the difference was, that Wei was looking at his reflection who held his forehead. Realising what just happened, he lifted himself pulling his reflection under him.  As soon as he pinned Yezun down, a wave of a creepy shiver ran down Ye's spine; which didn't go unnoticed by Wei.

"Zunah..! My baby, is that you?" Wei caressed his twin's cheeks cooing.

"Of course, G...Ge? Who else? Is this how you welcome your baby boy?" Yezun sulked pouting cutely.

"Aiyo, Zun ah! I'm so sorry, baby! I just woke up. I was so confused that I forgot Ah Lan was sending you here." Wei realised he said an unwanted word by seeing his twin's excited eyes go dull.   "Zun-"   "How about you make your delicious meals for your twin, huh? I'm so hungry!" Yezun swiftly changed the topic. And he succeeded.

After washing himself, Wei came out of the main chamber to cook. He saw Yezun playing with Snow. As soon as Snow saw Wei, he ran and jumped onto Wei. He started licking Wei causing them both to fall on the floor together. Wei started giggling as it tickled him when Snow drenched him with saliva. 

Yezun smiled contently seeing them reuniting after a long time. Because even though, Snow could visit Wei, he didn't go far from the underground palace. Like he understood that Yezun needed him more than Wei. So, Yezun silently went into the royal kitchen and started cooking for themselves, dismissing the Omegas who offered help. Soon Wei also joined.

It's been a long time since they cooked together last time. The beautiful twins enjoyed everything they did, to their hearts' content. So finally, when they were done with the food, the royal kitchen was like a battlefield. They ate together, feeding each other.

For the first time in a long time, the butterfly wasn't longing. He wasn't feeling pain. He wasn't scared. Simply, he didn't feel the time passing. He wasn't counting the hours left like he usually did. Instead, he was drowned in the ocean of love his twin gave him. They were like babies who had nothing to do but play. So cute. Aren't they?

On the other hand, Zhao Yunlan was going somewhere else on his royal beast. It was a dragon-like creature in black. He passed over a huge forest, then a wide river and again a forest. Then he reached a plain where he could see a mansion a few hundred meters away. So, he quickly signalled his beast to take him to that mansion. 

After reaching there, he let the beast wander away until he returned. Then he went inside the mansion ignoring the guards who were greeting him being both scared and surprised. When he entered it was all dark. Yet, he went in more, knowing what he was doing. 

Suddenly, the door closed, locking him inside. Then, so many candles lit up showing the beautiful decorations done with the rose petals. The place was beautiful and the scent was so pleasant.

"The scent is fine. But it's nothing compared to my Weiwei." Yunlan said sarcastically. 

TIK...TOK...TIK...TOK... 

The sound of heels hitting the stairs echoed through the mansion. Yunlan didn't look in that direction. He gathered some rose petals dropping them one by one.
