Gwen's pov

The next moments are like a blur to me. I remember running at Ava with my full speed. I remember her running at me too and us fighting but I don't remember what happened afterwards. The only thing I know now is that I am currently laying in the medbay in a not so good condition with my mom on my side working on my it. My dad has left with Mirai to get coffee for themselves and Caitlin. I slowly start to move my hand and I suddenly hear Caitlin.

"You really scared us to death today Gwen" She says.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry for just running off without a word." I say in an apologetic tone.

"I understand you, she's your rival. If your father was on your place he would definitely do the same. But I still think you're gonna hear some kind of speech about how it's unsafe to just run in blindly." She says smiling on the last part.

"Oh god no! Not one of "those" speeches!" I say laughing to which Caitlin starts laughing too. "Can you give me a speech instead?" I beg her.

"Oh Gwen I can't do it as good as your father would." She answerd still laughing.

"Please." I beg her once more.

"Okay.." She sighs and agrees to my relief.

"Thanks so much mo... Aunt Cait! You're the best!" I shout in excitiment.

"Oh I wouldn't say I'm the best but..." She starts saying.

"Don't even say that Aunt! Your my, your daughter's and my father's favourite person in the world!" I say trying to cheer her up.

"You really are an angel Gwen" She says to me smiling

After an hour Barry runs into the cortex. He takes a seat and says "We gotta talk".

"No need to scare her Barr. Let me do so." Caitlin says

Barry just twists his head but Caitlin asks again and he finally agrees. Caitlin takes my hand and says "come on" and starts guiding me out.

Barry's pov

Since when can Cait do that? I say to myself and start laughing. The sound of footsteps heading towards the cortex snapped me back to reality. There I saw Mirai walk into the room.

"Hey Uncle, where's Gwen?" She asks me she says in a sad tone.

"She's talking with your mom" I answer.

"Oh, okay thanks." She tells me.

"Is something wrong?" I ask her.

"It's nothing." She says and starts looking down.

"Oh come on Mirai, you know you can tell me anything." I try to encourage her.

"It's just... It's just that I miss my dad. She answers and starts to crying softly.

"Hey Mirai don't cry our little angel." I say and hug her. "How about you stay with me today? I know I'm not your dad but..." I say.

"I'd love that. And don't call me little." She says laughing a bit on the last part.

Her smile is just as beautiful as her mother's. I think to myself and smile. Suddenly Mirai's voice snaps me back to reality.

"Uncle? You there?" She asks me

".. Yea sorry I just got lost in my thoughts" I say.

"Sure so are you gonna do it?" She asks.

"Do what?" I ask her confused.

"Yep you really never change" She says and starts laughing even harder than before.

"What do you mean?" I ask starting to laugh myself.

"Like mom said you never listen" She says still laughing. "I said that you should call my mom to tell her that I will stay with you tonight."

"Oh your right I will call her right know" I say.

I call Cait and tell her about the whole situation and she agrees so an hour later me and Mirai are in my living room thinking what we could watch.

"Maybe we could watch a musical?" She asks me.

"I'd love to. Which one would you like to watch?" I ask her.

"Singing in the rain. Undoubtedly the best one out there, even in my times." She says.

"Mirai you're not even born yet and I already love you." I say and turn on the musical in excitement.

We watch the entire thing with her almost falling asleep a few times. After we watch it I decide to ask her a question.

"Hey Mirai how do you know this musical?" I ask her.

"You used to watch it with me and Gwen all the time when we were kids" She says.

"Haven't you said Ava killed me in the future?" I ask her confused.

"It's complicated, just know we spent some time with you and my mom" She says.

"Good for you two. I know it's hard to grow up without your parents." I say. "How about we head to sleep now?"

"Sure Uncle, goodnight" She says

"Goodnight, Angel" I say.

Caitlin's pov

"So, Mirai is staying with your father today so we two are left alone for the night. What would you like to do sweetie?" I ask the girl.

"We could watch a movie or something" She answers.

"Sure which one?" I ask.

"Jurassic park definitely." She answers

"Your father's favourite movie..." I say and smile.

"He used to watch it with me and Mirai when we were younger." She says.

"Your father is an amazing man." I say

"He really is." She answers and turns on the movie

So I think I will end this here as I don't want to take forever to upload this part and this is a filler episode anyways. So sorry for taking so much time to write this chapter but my arm still hurts and I can barely write with it and it's really annoying. As always all feedback will be greatly appreciated. I hope to hear from you soon, see you guys next time.
