THE NEXT DAY AT SCHOOL :

"Good morning sleepy head" Eunji said as she and Jake sat next to and in front of Dae.

Dae rubbed her eye as she awoke from her slumber.

"You're sleeping for once? Since when does Lee Dae sleep on the revision grind at 7:30 in the morning?" Jake gasped dramatically.

It had become a regular routine for Eunji, Jake and Sunghoon to walk together to school.

"Where's Sunghoon?" Dae asked, noticing the missing presence of the ice prince.

"He's starting to do half weeks at school" Jake informed her, "He's focusing more on skating, so he's going to the rink during school and then completing the work when he gets home or something"

"Oh, I see" Dae's mouth formed an 'o' shape in an understanding matter.

"Here" Eunji slid Dae the same triangle kimbap they had been feeding her for the past two weeks since she went to the hospital.

Dae looked at it, and hesitated.

"You can have it, I'm not hungry" She replied, resuming her revision.

Eunji and Jake exchanged concerned looks with each other.

"Did you eat breakfast before you came to school?" Jake raised an eyebrow

"..yeah" Dae said, she had paused for a little too long for the two next to her not to notice.

They exchanged another look at each other.

"So, what's going on with Mr Ice Prince?" Yeji asked Dae at their lunch table.

"Nothings going on with Sunghoon" Dae answered, "after all, i think there's a girl that he likes from his rink"

"Who?" Hayun immediately asked, Dae kept forgetting that Hayun probably knew everything since she used to be Sunghoon's skating partner.

"I think her name was Baek Sun—"

"Baek Sunhee." Hayun gritted through her teeth

"Not a very nice person I'm guessing?" Yoon raised both her eyebrows in amusement at Hayun's rile up,

Usually she was a calm person, so clearly something was up with Sunhee if her name triggered her that easily.

"She's a bitch" Hayun bluntly said, causing Chae to laugh.

"God you must really hate her" Yeji exclaimed

"She was ALWAYS trying to replace me as Sunghoon's ice skating partner, like— both of us wanted to go with each other and we had the contract too. It's not like you can just switch" Hayun exasperated,

"she wouldn't talk to him that much though, she'd talk to me a lot— but she has this smile that you can just tell it's fake and forced to make you like her. I bet that now I'm gone she's been clinging onto him to be her partner" she ranted.

"She sounds like quite the character, huh?" Eunji laughed, "you know she's bad when Hayun's pissed like this"

"I thought she was quite a nice person" Dae said, "maybe she's changed since the last time you saw her..?"

"There's a very slim chance of that to be honest" Chae remarked.
