Louis and Harry were driving home together while Liam was dropping Niall and Zayn off to their houses.
Louis and Harry got in the car, with Louis driving and they sat in silence for a few minutes before Louis spoke up, "So... boyfriend," he said with a goofy grin.
"Yeah, boyfriend?" Harry replied smiling.
"Do you think I can come hang at your house for a few hours before going back home?" Louis asked.
"Sure! Won't your parents get suspicious though?" Harry wondered.
"Nah, I told them I'd be sleeping over at Liam's they don't expect me to get up before noon," Louis said.
Harry laughed, "To be honest, I didn't expect you to get up before noon either."
"Hey!" Louis pouted, "I get up early!"
"Whatever helps you sleep at night, Lou," Harry patted Louis' shoulder. Louis just smiled at him.
"Um," Harry started after a little more silence, "Do you think it would be fine if I told my parents that we're dating?"
"Of course, love. Just because my parents are homophobic and don't want us together doesn't mean that you have to hide anything from your parents," Louis replied, "As long as we don't tell my parents, everything's ok."
"Ok," Harry smiled.
They pulled up in Harry's driveway and got out of the car. "Race ya to the door!" Louis shouted.
Harry laughed and sprinted, confident that he was going to get there first because of his long legs, but Louis was faster and made it there first.
"Ha! I beat you!" Louis exclaimed.
"Indeed you did Louis," Harry agreed, trying not to laugh, "What do you want as your prize?"
"How about..." Louis pretended to think, "A kiss?"
Harry leaned in and kissed him. Louis kissed him back, their mouths moving in sync. Louis pulled back, breathless.
"Yeah, I'm never going to get over that feeling," he breathed.
"Me neither," Harry said softly, and opened the door for him and Louis to step inside.
"Harry?" His mother called, "Is that you?"
"Yes mum, and I brought Louis too," Harry called back.
Anne walked into the hallway with her apron on, "Hi Louis! It's so nice to see you again."
"It's nice to see you too, Anne," Louis smiled and hugged her.
"He's my favorite friend of yours," she said to Harry. Louis grinned and blushed, he was happy to hear that because that would hopefully mean she would accept him as Harry's boyfriend.
Harry coughed, "Um, about that. Mum, me and Louis are boyfriends now."
"Oh my god!! I have been waiting for this moment ever since you came out to me," Anne exclaimed, "I'm so happy for you two!"
Anne pulled them both into a hug and it felt so good to have a motherly figure in his life that accepted him for who he is.
"Now, Louis, you know I adore you but if you ever hurt my boy," Anne said warningly.
"I know, Anne. I promise I will do anything possible to keep your son happy, and I would never dream of hurting him. He means too much to me," Louis assured her.
"Great," she smiled, then seemed to realize something, "Oh, dear, your parents..."
Louis stopped her, "I know. I'm not going to tell them and I beg you to not tell them either because they'll find a way to keep me from seeing Harry if they know. They already don't want Harry over right now because they suspect that I'm gay and that I like him. Imagine what will happen if they know for sure."
Anne smiled sadly, "Of course I won't tell them. I hope you don't mind me saying this but I don't know how you deal with them on a daily basis. I can barely handle them when they're over."
Louis laughed, "Trust me, I don't either. Something I got used to, I suppose."
"I'm so sorry that you have to deal with that Louis," Anne said remorsefully, "But I won't keep you two for long! You both can head upstairs and I'll bring some snacks. And remember: no funny business."
Harry laughed nervously and blushed while Louis started cracking up, "Of course not, Anne! Our relationship is not even a day old. I wouldn't want to rush little Hazza here."
"Hey! If anyone's little, it's you," Harry exclaimed.
"This, this is why I love you Louis," Anne smiled and walked back into the kitchen. Harry and Louis ran upstairs, racing again. Everyone knows who won.
"It's nice to know my mother loves you so much," Harry commented when they sat down on the floor across from each other, "It would be pretty unfortunate if she didn't like my boyfriend."
"Aw come on, everyone loves me, how could they not?" Louis said while getting butterflies in his stomach because Harry had called him his boyfriend.
Harry laughed and asked, "So, what do you want to do?"
"Here's my list: Kiss you, cuddle you, watch a movie with you, kiss you while watching the movie, talk to you, kiss you some more... Oh! And eat the food that your mom makes," Louis listed.
"That's a lot of kissing," Harry commented.
"What can I say? It's my new favorite hobby," Louis shrugged and leaned over to kiss him. Harry kissed him back and then pulled away.
"Well, item one is done, let's start the movie and then we can get items 2 and 3 done," Harry said.
"But I wanted to kiss you some more," Louis pouted.
"Too bad," Harry teased. He stood up and pulled Louis with him so that he could get his laptop, "What movie do you want to watch?"
"Is that even a question? Grease, of course!" Louis exclaimed.
Harry laughed and shook his head, "I don't even know why I asked."
He sat down again on the bed and opened his laptop to turn on Grease and then set it in between him and Louis.
"Now, now Hazza. How am I supposed to cuddle you with this laptop separating us?" Louis demanded while picking up the laptop so he could scoot closer to Harry. Harry giggled and allowed himself to be pulled into Louis' arms while he rested the laptop on their legs. Harry loved this position, he felt so safe in Louis' arms. He felt content.
