Blue hadn't seen Error in a couple of days.
Granted, he didn't see him much at all, considering Error had his own highway of strings on the ceiling that he crawled around in to avoid accidentally touching anyone, but usually there were little gaps in the strings so someone could tell where he was. But Blue hadn't seen a glimpse of him in two or three days, and niether had anyone else.
"He has his own room." Nightmare frowned when Blue asked him about it. "But he never uses it. I'm sure he's just retreated to the Anti-Void for a while. He'll be back."
That answer wasn't good enough, and Blue decided to go look for himself. Error had made several exits from his string highway, but Blue only knew about the one in the dining room, which he had to stand on the table to even get to. Pulling himself up into the bed of strings, the first thing Blue noticed was how quiet it was. He couldn't hear Horror making lunch in the kitchen, just a room away. In fact, the only thing he could hear was the lazy spinning of the fan up above him on the real ceiling.
The next thing he noticed was that, despite Error's strings splitting every room in half, the ceiling was still far above him, tall enough that he could stand up and walk across the strings without having to duck down or bend at all. The actual sensation of walking across the bed of strings was scary at first, the way they bent under his weight as if they could give away at any moment. But if they could hold Error, they could hold him.
To Blue's estimate, he spent about an hour searching around up there before he found Error's lair. It wasn't much, just a half-empty box of chocolates and a few dolls. Blue sat down in the middle of the small hideout and decided to wait for Error there.

He didn't remember falling asleep until he woke up to the sound of snoring. But he was awake, so who...?
Sitting up slowly, he turned to find Error right next to him, practically touching as he snored and drooled all over his sleeve. The sound was annoying, but at least he was okay. Blue scooted away so he wouldn't accidentally touch Error and cause him to crash.
He was about to get up and let Error nap in peace when he felt something brush against his hand. When he looked down, he saw Error's hand, blindly grasping at his as if asking him to stay.
Blue kept still, watching as Error's hand finally gripped his, tugging him backward. Is he just more cuddly in his sleep? Does he know what he's doing? Blue didn't have much time to think about it before he was pulled right up against the darker skeleton, Error's other arm draped around his waist to keep him there.
Well...I guess I have to stay for a little longer.
Not that he minded, of course.

It was another hour and a half before Error woke up. As soon as Blue felt him stirring, he closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep.
Surprisingly, Error didn't pull away. He sat up, but continued to hold onto Blue's hand as if it was a lifeline.
"Cute." Error mumbled, giving Blue's hand a squeeze before finally letting go. A few more seconds passed before Error cleared his throat and spoke louder in his usual grumpy voice.
"Hey, wake up."
Blue pretended to yawn and sat up. "Oh, hey Error. When did you get here?"
"Got back just now." Error lied. "What were you doing up here?"
"Looking for you." Blue smiled. "Sorry for falling asleep."
Error shrugged. "'S fine. The others are probably looking for you. You should get down."
"Can I come back sometime?"
Error shrugged. "Maybe. Now go, before Nightmare calls me demanding to know where you are."
Blue smiled and stood up, looking around. "Um...how do I get down?"

An: This chapter feels kinda lackluster, so sorry if it's not really up to my usual work. I really love this story and I want to continue it, but I really don't know how to make this chapter better. Hopefully the next one will be better, I still have a lot of ideas for this story.
