Much long ago, seasons existed even before humans. They were brought by the gods, who would walk upon the lands, bringing their seasons with them. They would cycle in a rather counter clockwise direction, all around the planet. The God of Winter, Khione, has brought the cold and chilly climate to the south, not long after the Autumn's departure. Just like the cold season, His persona is as equally as cold, and his expressions are stone hard like the ice freezing below temperature. The creatures of the wild, would all go to hiding, for the cold they fear, spending their winter days hibernating and surviving. The young god, wanted it that way. He preferred to be alone, without his peace getting disrupted. He spent his days, wandering and sleeping under snow covered trees. As time passes by, his time is almost about to end.

On a cold night, resting on the trunk of a tree, there he saw, a strange sight, gleaming on the distant snow. A flower shining golden bright, with its petals as vibrant as a star in the sky. It looked not bothered by the climate, the god, getting curious to how it could withstand the cold.
"is it my time already? But I still have until the sun rises..." Thinking that he might have mistaken the time, he sets off to leave. Walking away, he was stopped by a voice, calling up to him.
"Wait a moment! are you leaving so soon? "He looks behind, standing in front of him, a tall figurine, he looked similar to him, with a human-like body, except he appeared to be much more "brighter" than him.

"W-who... what are you?..."
"you really could understand me!" The unknown entity exclaimed in delight.
"I asked you, what are you?" Khione replied coldly.
"Ah, sorry... I am pleased to meet you dear something who can understand me, I am Helianthus, the God of Spring" A huge smiling expression carved into his face, emitting an aura, almost as bright as the sun.
"Now that I have introduced myself, it's your turn" The cold god's reply, was only a striking stare, completely ignoring him, as he walks away.
"H-hey! don't you think it was not fair of you to not fulfill my request whilst I did?"
"I don't see the relevance of it, for I will eventually forget your calling title, so it is best not to share mine"
"well what if you don't?" Khione stops at his position, letting out a sigh, baffled by his response. "What if we get to know each other? wouldn't that make you remember my-"
"There is no use." Khione cuts him off.
"I am soon to leave, and head towards the... nevermind"
"wait, where are you going?"
"It is also unnecessary for me to inform you of my destination" The bright god's expression, soon dropped into a frowning face.
"Could you not stay a little longer?... I have so many questions about you..."
"Well, I was meant to leave until the sun rises, but you came to interrupt me"
"Then please! stay here... until the sun rises, then I will let you leave" Khione stops for a moment, thinking about his request thoroughly.
"No, I prefer to be alone" He denied his offer, turning away.
"Please! I beg of you!" Helianthus walked towards Khione, approaching the line where the grass meets the snow.
"N-no! stay where you are!" The god of winter, faced him again, his face filled with fright, his body shaking in fear.
"is... is there something the matter?..." Helianthus looked guilty, thinking he made something that made Khione upset.

"Just... don't cross the line..." They both calmed down in just a short matter of time.
"If you can't help not to be so stubborn and persistent, I shall stay right here, to entertain your question, until the sun is to be seen anymore" Helianthus brightens up again, a positive feeling has been unlocked inside him, he felt a bond between them, a bond he doesn't feel towards the other creatures.
"Thank you, really"
"but do remember, one shall never cross the border" Helianthus nods in agreement.
"So... who are you? and what is all this around you?"
"I am... Khione, and what you see all around me is the snow and winter, the season I always bring"
"So you are a god too? and this winter you talk about... it has no... color, unlike the flowers that would blossom in my season, and yet, the sight is truly... beautiful" The winter god stands silent, before uttering,
"I don't think there is any beauty in the cold"
"You have mistaken, I always believed that there is beauty in everything."
"This spring that you talk about... could you enlighten me to what it is?" Helianthus stood up, with a smirk on his face,
"well look around me, do you see how the flowers would dance with the wind, and how the leaves of the trees grow healthy? that is the beauty of spring"
"Yes, but it is a blinding sight for my eyes" Helianthus simply laughed at his response, leaving Khione with a confused look
"What is there to laugh about?"
"Haha, I just simply think your expressions are quite the amusement to look at" Khione sat on the soft snow, as Helianthus does the same, though they are distant to each other.
"Where are the animals on your side? I do not see a single one of them"
"They go into hiding, as they usually would, they don't like the cold, and they don't like me either"
"Hmph, but what is there to not like about you?" Helianthus smiles as usual, showering Khione with compliments, yet the other god felt unaffected, as if there was a huge block of ice between them. The time quickly passed by, as their time together was about to end.
"Before you leave... I have a final question" Khione stood up, preparing to make his departure. "What is your question?"
"Where... are you headed to?" The god hesitates for a while, before finally answering his question.

"I am headed to the East" Upon hearing this, the god of spring stood up in excitement, clearly delighted to hear his answer.
"I am headed that way too! except a few days late, so... I hope to meet you again... Khione, and I shall remember your calling title" He smiles, waving goodbye to Khione.
"Farewell then, I shall take my leave." He wasted no time, and made his way towards the east.
