Leaves fall, to wither away with the wind, to welcome the beginning of winter. Khione has landed in the East, where he glances, the birds flying away, towards where the sun still shines. Another cycle has begun, just like before, just like the moment he first opened his eyes, and it shall go on, to who knows how long, maybe, for eternity. The clouds covered the sky, like a blanket, sealing every last sunlight that shone on the land. He hoped everything would stay the same, but the stubborn god of spring, kept his words.

"Khione? you're really here!" There he was again, on the day where the cold is coming to an end. The grass grew green, flowers spreading all over the other side, where the line between the land of the sun and the land of ice, becomes visible once again.
"Why have you come again this early?"
"Well I hoped to see you again, and I was afraid you would leave again as soon as I arrive". Khione was silent for a moment, until leaving a cold reply.
"I would have wanted to let that happen." Helianthus frowns, like a little puppy disowned by his human.

"How could you say such things Khione? I looked forward to seeing you... do you even remember my name?"
"I easily forget things that do not contain any importance to my existence."
"You really hurt my feelings Khione..." Helianthus sat on the grass, picking up a flower on the ground, plucking its pink petals, one after one. Seeing Helianthus sulking, Khione couldn't help but let out a small laugh, finding interest in the other god.
"Was that a smile? did I see you smile?" He exclaimed, standing up in a rush, swearing he just saw, the god who always displayed a stone-like expression, smile for the first time.
"I do not know to what you are speaking about"

"No no, I clearly saw you smile, and it was beautiful..."Suddenly, the wind flows freely, swirling with leaves and flower petals, and the sunlight shone bright towards the snowy side, highlighting the beauty, of the winter god. Helianthus looks at him, sparks almost coming out of his eyes, in front of him a beautiful god, and at that moment, a new kind of feeling unlocked inside of him, he felt butterflies, he felt warmth, he felt... Love. Khione looked at him, a slight blush visible from his pale snow-like skin.

"You are uttering nonsense" He looked towards the opposite, avoiding the gaze of Helianthus' eyes. From that moment, Helianthus found a new objective in life, and it is to embrace the cold god, and to see him smile again. Soon enough, the sun disappeared, and there came the dark night. The winter comes to an end, the god heading to the North, where the cold blows stronger. Just like before, Helianthus bid his farewell, wishing to see him again, in his next destination. As the cycle moves again, the warm breeze of spring, has flown all the way to the North, but except, it was more sooner than before.

"Why are you here already? It is not your time yet, I am still left with two days"
"Yes, yes I know, but my excitement inside, cannot be contained anymore." Khione sighed, not being able to do anything about the situation, it is not like he could make the other god return to where it came, for the cycle follows only one direction. Many cycles came, and spring kept coming early, and soon, Khione gradually accepted his company.

"Tell me, Khione, why do you wish to be alone?" Khione sat quietly, thinking for a moment.
"It was never a desire at first, I was brought upon this world, already hated by the creatures of the wild, and soon enough... I enjoyed living in peace, and quiet"
"What about right now? do you enjoy being with me?..." Khione thinks again, looking into the grass.
"I am uncertain about your question... perhaps I still do not know how to adapt to this change in my life." They were sitting together, talking to each other, yet bounded by the line between them.
"Don't you like the change?" He stood up, expanding both of his arms, as he felt the wind hitting on his body.

"Spring is the season of change, it embraces the beauty of changes in life, and everything that exists." He walks toward the flower field, while his gaze still focused on Khione.
"A once dead land, would turn into a beautiful, and colorful flower fields and forests, bringing life to once was a desolate sight, that is the beauty of change, and wouldn't it be such a great change if only I could cross the line..." Khione stood up as well, he started to feel annoyed towards Helianthus.

"No, I do not accept such change, to an extent of crossing a line we are forbid to cross." Before Helianthus could speak, Khione stopped him.
"It is just like you said, Spring is the season of change, but from what I am standing on, this is not part of spring, but winter, the unchanging season of consistency." Helianthus felt guilty, maybe he asked too much, he tried to speak again, to calm Khione.
"I'm sorry Khione, I..."

"You should have never brought change to my life... I wanted everything to stay the same..." Helianthus couldn't even speak, as he watched Khione, walking away deeper into the snow-covered woods.
