"Helian?... where are you?..." Khione woke up all alone in the snow, the other gone by his side. "Was it all a dream? was nothing truly real?" He then heard a voice from the other side, a voice filled with a breaking tone.

"Khione... It was all my fault..." Khione tried to approach him, but Helianthus stopped him immediately.
"No! no... please, you don't know what you're getting into..."
"I don't understand, Helian... why are you pushing me away?"
"My time... is about to end..."
"But we'll still meet at the South, so why?"
"No, I didn't mean that... I meant, my existence is about to end" Khione's heart felt like it was shattered into pieces, like ice being thrown into a deep cliff.
"You're... leaving me?..."
"Khione, this is for your own good"
"I don't wanna be alone again..."
"You won't, I promise you won't... Shall I be the brightest star in your darkest nights, or the soft breeze to caress your skin, I'll always be with you" Helianthus stared at his hand, fading as his body becomes petals of a flower, winter is ending.

"Go on Khione, it's your time to go, everything will go back to normal once-" Before Helianthus could even finish his words, a tight embrace covered him.
"You promised we would fade together..."
"Khione! you still have so much to live for, like a bud who received its first sunlight, you still have a lot of time to grow"
"What is there to live about if I'll only go back to the cold all alone? with my sunlight now gone?" As they hug each other, both start to turn into petals of different colors, getting flown away by the wind.
"I love you, Khione" Helianthus placed a kiss on his lips, hugging even more tighter with a smile on his face.
"Helianthus... I love..." They completely disappeared, and that is the end of a love that blossomed in the winter night.

...

"What a sad story..."
"Yes my little brother, truly sad, now how about you go play outside to cheer yourself up? don't forget to wear your coat okay!
"Okay!"A bright little kid runs outside of his house, to go play with the other kids in the snow. Every child was delighted as snowflakes drop from the sky, except for this one kid, sitting alone under the playground's slide.
"Hello! are you okay?" the bright kid asks, but he was ignored,
"Are you feeling anything negative?"
"Leave me alone" the lonely kid replied. The bright kid sat next to the lonely one, but still minding their distance.
"Don't you like the winter?"
"No, I don't like it..."
"why so?"
"It's too cold, and there's no life"

"Well, do you see that flower over there?" The bright one pointed a flower growing in the snow, with ruby red petals, that shine because of the particles of snow. He pulled the lonely kid closer to the flower to take a look.
"My sister likes this flower, she mentions it so often that I remembered its scientific name, the Helianthus Khionthus!, or simply called Helianheart"
"what's so special about this flower?"
"Well, a flower that grows in the cold, is the most special of all" The lonely kid sat near the flower to take a closer look.
"Maybe winter isn't that bad..."
"Right? how about we become friends? I'm Julian!" The lonely one looks at his hand, before standing up and shaking hands with him
"I'm... I'm Kian"

and thus, a new friendship has blossomed in a winter day.

The End.
