A/N: my humor was a bit on the dark side today. Please enjoy and comment.

Jungkook looks across the cafeteria table. The winter sun shines through the high windows, making Taehyung's hair shine vibrantly blue. He has his eyes closed, taking another sip of his tea and sighing contentedly.

"So nice," he smiles, opening his eyes again, and the sun makes them glow more than ever.

"Will you come to my apartment after your shift?"

"Yes, I hope to get out on time."

"If your Dr. Choi doesn't fuck up again," Taehyung remarks.

"Well let's hope your Dr. Choi doesn't shuffle a new case to you on short notice, because she got an urgent call from the dog daycare."

Taehyung huffs. "I still believe she made that up."

"She probably did," Jungkook agrees.

"Why do we both have a Dr. Choi on our shit list?" Taehyung ponders.

"That just strengthens our bond, love."

"I thought love is enough?"

"I believe sometimes it's healthy to have a common enemy," Jungkook nods assuringly.

"Even so we are talking about two different people?"

"It's the name. They could be related."

"Shouldn't we bond over hobbies and outside of work?" Taehyung questions.

"Yes, we should also do that."

Taehyung takes another sip of his tea. "These human things are sometimes still confusing."

A few doctors are walking past their table and one stops.

"Dr. Jeon," says the middle-aged man brightly and Jungkook internally groans. Why was Choi popping up now and didn't spare his holy lunch break with Taehyung?

"Dr. Choi," Jungkook answers politely and plasters a fake smile on his lips.

Choi turns to Taehyung. "And you are?" he questions, like he had never seen him before, which wasn't true.

"I'm still Dr. Kim from the pediatrics department, like the last two times," he says, also with a fake smile.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm so bad with faces," Choi laughs like it was funny.

"I'm sure we can get you an appointment on short notice at the neurological department if your condition progresses," Taehyung says, concerned. "Or how about a dementia test with Dr. Min at the Psychiatric department? I'm sure he would be happy to run diagnostics on you."

Jungkook bites his lips, holding in a laugh.

"Anyway," Choi says and turns his back demonstratively on Taehyung. "Dr. Jeon, did you contact my niece to accompany you to the hospital's New Year's function? She is still waiting for your call."

Jungkook can see Taehyung leaning on the table, one eyebrow raised behind his glasses. It seems like some strands of his hair stand up, escaping his ponytail. It also looks like he is biting the inside of his cheek.

"I already have a date," Jungkook smiles.

Choi regards him disapprovingly. "Well, I see. You know that my family is a special guest at the New Year's function. My uncle will receive an honor because of all the donations to the hospital."
"Yeah...," Jungkook still smiles, while Taehyung rolls his pretty eyes.
