"Crowley?!" Aziraphale said nervously as there was not a sound coming from his phone. He set the phone back on the receiver and noticed that the cord had been cut. Suddenly there was a knock on the door outside and there stood Baphomet and Aziraphale recognized him.

A little over 300 years ago Aziraphale was instructed to go check on a young boy in service of the Catholic church. He was told the boy was on quite the righteous path but needed to be observed so that they were certain he would end up in the kingdom of Heaven. Aziraphale met with the boy and spoke with him, he found the boy to be very sweet and very kind. He thought of him to be one purest of heart humans he had ever met and especially because he had grown from nothing and though very poor he was still so giving and innocent of soul. One night however in his observation of the boy he walked with him through the forest as the boy was gathering flowers for a wedding. Aziraphale eventually lost sight of the boy so he flew up above the trees and found the boy talking to a young girl around his age, Aziraphale assumed it was young love but as he turned his back he heard the boy scream. He turned back and saw not the boy but a horrid monster that seemed to be frightened of itself but then he knew that was the boy. Aziraphale felt guilty for years for what happened to the boy but he never thought he would see him again after the Demons took him down to Hell.

"Adrian..." Muttered Aziraphale as he opened the door but did not let the Demon inside. "It's been quite a long time." Said Aziraphale as he had the door open to speak with him but kept a six foot distance from the door so that the Demon couldn't reach him.
"Yes it has, just so you know I don't blame you for well what I am now. It was no one's fault but my own I suppose." Said Baphomet as he sighed. "Oh and by the way my Demon name is Baphomet use it if you like, it feels silly to call me by human name after 300 years of being a vile monster." Said Baphomet as he sighed.
"Are you here to kill me like you did to Crowley?" Asked Aziraphale as he stepped back.
"Oh so you know about that, well yes I am here to kill you but I promise to make it quick and painless, I still consider you a friend Aziraphale so I'd rather not watch you suffer." Said Baphomet as Aziraphale shook his head.
"You don't have to do this! I still believe you can be a good person like you were before." Said Aziraphale as suddenly Baphomet stepped over the threshold.
"Oh but I do it's my only way out of Hell! I didn't deserve this! I was a victim but in God's eyes I am nothing more than a sinner! It wasn't my fault we both know that but Uriel promised that if I kill you and Crowley then I can get my rightful place in God's palace! It's just business I am truly sorry Aziraphale." Said Baphomet as he got incredibly close to Aziraphale but then Aziraphale realized that there was a problem with the deal he made with Uriel, Uriel can't give Baphomet his rightful place in Heaven. Redeeming souls was something only the Supreme Arch Angel could accomplish.
"Wait!" Said Aziraphale as Baphomet stopped.
"I'm sorry Demons don't really do the final request thing." Said Baphomet as Aziraphale backed into a stack of books.
"Uriel can't give you your rightful place in Heaven! They lied to you!" Said Aziraphale as Baphomet's eyes burned bright red.
"What?!" He growled as his hand twitched.
"But only a Supreme Arch Angel can redeem a wretched soul, not that you're wretched but in the eyes the Lord-"
"That's all well said and done but Gabriel was the Supreme Arch Angel but now he's a traitor!" Growled Baphomet.
"But I was promoted to Supreme Arch Angel and I am no longer seen as a traitor so I can redeem you so long as you leave me and my family alone." Said Aziraphale as Baphomet sighed.
"Alright." Said Baphomet as he held out his hand.

Gabriel had healed most of the damage that Baphomet caused Crowley though there was still a large gash in his back that he couldn't heal so tied Beelzebub's sash around Crowley's midsection covering the wound as a way to stop the bleeding. "I have to get to Aziraphale!" Said Crowley as he tried to stand but fell back on Gabriel.
"Yes you do but we're coming with you!" Stated Beelzebub as Crowley shook his head.
"Absolutely not! You're not even supposed to be here!" Growled Crowley as he held his side.
"Well how the bloody hell are you supposed to get to him when you can't even stand up by yourself!?" Barked Beelzebub as Crowley really had no retort. "That's what I thought! Now Gabriel let's get him to the car." Said Beelzebub as they put one of Crowley's arms around their shoulders and Gabriel was already holding him by the other. They pretty much dragged him to the car and placed him in the driver's seat because neither one of them knew how to operate an automobile so they hoped Crowley had enough life in him to drive. He didn't just have enough to drive but he had enough life to speed through central London at 90 miles an hour. Beelzebub and Gabriel held on for dear life as they had never actually ridden in Crowley's car before.

Crowley screeched down the streets until finally haphazardly parallel parking in front of the bookshop then he opened the door and got out holding himself up by the driver side door of the Bentley. He took a some breaths as it had taken a lot out of him just to drive. "Crowley!" Said Aziraphale as he rushed out of the bookshop.
"Aziraphale... You're alright." Said Crowley as he turned kind of pale and passed out on the pavement. Gabriel and Beelzebub helped get Crowley inside and upstairs. They laid him on Aziraphale's bed and Aziraphale sat down to heal the rest of the wound.
"I tried to heal him but my powers aren't exactly what they used to be." Said Gabriel as Aziraphale sighed.
"It's alright, at least you did something. If you had done nothing I'm certain he would've died." Said Aziraphale as he had finished healing the wound and was just letting Crowley sleep.
"How did you deal with Baphomet?" Asked Beelzebub as Aziraphale sighed.
"I offered him something he just couldn't refuse so in return he left us alone, I just wish I had known before he attacked Crowley." Said Aziraphale as he brushed a hair off Crowley's face. "Apparently Uriel hired him." Said Aziraphale as Gabriel sighed.
"Uriel was always such a violence first kind of Angel, honestly about half the horrible things I did they got in my head and convinced me of it." Said Gabriel as he wiped some dust off the top of a stack of books.
"I just never thought they would go against God's will like that." Said Aziraphale as Gabriel scoffed.
"That shows you've been down here way too long. Aziraphale as Angels and Demons we were promised a holy war, the final war against good and evil or that's what we were led to believe at least." Said Gabriel as he reached over and held Beelzebub's hand.
"Same goes with Hell, all we ever heard was how Angels were stuck up egotistical brats whose light needed to be extinguished so we could finally be free from any kind of tyrannical rule. I mean ya spend 6000 years listening to that kind of speech over and over and over again you're gonna want what you were told to want so badly that anything else happening sounds like torture." Said Beelzebub as Gabriel chuckled.
"I guess that's why everyone hates you and Crowley so much, you spent all your time down here so instead of hearing what you were told you wanted you got to choose what you wanted out of life." Said Gabriel as Aziraphale looked at Crowley with such a loving kind of look.
"No, it took me a very long time to get that far but Crowley never once believed what he was told, he always questioned everything and I guess being around him for so long as began to question myself most of all, if the holy war was what I wanted. It wasn't, what I wanted was Crowley and it took me a very long time to realize that. I am grateful everyday that Crowley was in my life because without him I never would've realized what I wanted more than anything in the world." Said Aziraphale as a tear streamed down his cheek.
"Come on Gabriel let's leave him be." Said Beelzebub as the two of them walked out.

Aziraphale tried hard not to start sobbing but he just couldn't help it he felt so guilty for what happened to Crowley, he could've stopped it if he only knew. He knew there was no way he could've known but that only made him even more upset because that made him feel powerless to have stopped this from happening. Aziraphale hung his head and continued to sob. "Please don't cry Angel because you're gonna make me cry." Said Crowley's voice as Aziraphale looked up and saw Crowley staring at him.
"Crowley..." Said Aziraphale as he smiled and wiped the tears off his face. "I was so worried you were-"
"Dead? Ya no, Death can't have me just yet." Said Crowley as he smiled and so did Aziraphale. "I can tell from my lack of crippling pain that you healed me up?" Asked Crowley as Aziraphale nodded.
"Yes." He said with a smile.
"I'm so glad that you're ok. After Baphomet stabbed me and laid there on the floor, bleeding out, I just kept thinking how I couldn't do a damn thing to stop him that I was useless. How did you ever stop him?" Asked Crowley as Aziraphale sighed.
"I simply offered him more than the people who hired him did." Said Aziraphale as he sighed. "Speaking of which, Uriel was the one who hired him." Said Aziraphale as Crowley sighed.
"Well that's a problem to worry about another day, right now I just want to lay in bed with you." Said Crowley as he held Aziraphale's hand.
"Well Gabriel and Beelzebub are downstairs." Said Aziraphale as Crowley waved his hand out of a lackadaisical effort.
"I can take them home later, please come lay with me." Crowley begged as he gave Aziraphale this puppy dog begging kind of look. Aziraphale sighed.
"Alright just for a bit." Said Aziraphale as he slid off his sweater and laid in bed next to Crowley allowing Crowley to coil around and lay his head on Aziraphale's chest. Suddenly Aziraphale put his arm around Crowley's shoulders which he had never done before when they would cuddle.
"You really must've thought I was dead because you're usually not so cuddly Aziraphale." Crowley mumbled.
"I missed you and almost lost you. I never want to do that again." Said Aziraphale as Crowley looked up and kissed his Angel.
"I promise I will never allow myself to get hurt like that ever again." Said Crowley as he buried his face in Aziraphale's chest. "I love you Aziraphale." Said Crowley as Aziraphale smiled.
"I love you too Crowley." Said Aziraphale softly.
