Chapter 10: Ocean at night

You follow Xavier silently and reach the top. You were like at the middle of the forest.

Y/N:
          This place . . . It's used to be a signal station.

Turning around you saw a huge Wanderer in a dragon-like form but it's different from the others. It's a stone statue with a blue-like-veins all over it.

Y/N:
          Wanderer.

Xavier:
          Don't worry. It hasn't finished.

Y/N:
          Is it that blue veins a Metaflux thats converging on the Wanderer? ... It's absorbing it.

Xavier:
          Yes and it's an Aeonwyrm, the most dangerous species of Wanderer. The absorbed Metaflux particles are being used to reconstruct it.

You and Xavier continue on examining it. You found a stone sculpture at the center. It has weird symbols in it.

Y/N:
          Is this the Flux Nexus you mentioned before?

Xavier goes near to the stone. He uses his evol to touch and sense it. A red spark appear. It rejects him.

Xavier:
          ...Only a specific Evol will be able to undo the lock on it.

Xavier looks at you.

Xavier:
          Try it.

Y/N:
          Can this even be opened with my Evol...

Xavier:
          Sense its energy and use your Evol to create the same fluctuations.

You slowly touch it and release your evol. It light up and release a great power, removing almost all the Metaflux in the dragon-like Wanderer statue.

The stone sculpture opened and a yello Protocore float towards you.

Y/N:
          ...It's different than other Protocores.

Xavier searches the stoned Wanderer. Small traces of Metaflux was left.

Xavier:
          The energy fluctuations prove that someone wants to resurrect the Aeonwyrm. The Metaflux doesn't completely disappeared. If a Wanderer like this entered Linkon, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Y/N:
          Then there may be more than one Flux Nexus in this forest.

Xavier:
          Shh, I heard something.

The leaves rustles. You both hears a loud roar in the different side of the forest.

Xavier:
          The Protofield has changed... The forest is waking up.

The bushes we're like screaming. The wind are harder than before.

Xavier:
          Now!

A Dragon suddenly apeared flying at full speed towards you. You successfully dodge it. Xavier steps in front of you.

Xavier:
          Cover me.

Xavier charge at the Wanderer without hesitation. You cover him from other Wanderers using your gun from behind. Seconds turn to minutes. It was almost an hour. The moon shines through Xavier's breathless face. He's tired.

Y/N:
          We can't go on like this! More just keep showing up!

Xavier immediately run towards you and grab your waist
