Y/N:
It's okay! I can spend this night alone. Have a good holiday at home, Tara! I'll talk to you later.

After hanging up, you sigh and walk aimlessly on the empty street.

Y/N:
Why is the person standing over there so familiar? Can it be...

You walk towards him.

Y/N:
Xavier? What a coincidence bumping into you here.

Xavier:
....Not really a coincidence. This is the only way to get back home. It's the Lantern Gala. Why are you hanging around here alone instead of joining in the fun?

Y/N:
I was at uhm... walking around. Besides, aren't you alone, too?

Hearing what you said, Xavier looks at you.

Xavier:
Well, you're not alone now. You came just in time.

Y/N:
          Just in time?

Xavier:
Do you want to try this café's new drink.

You stop and look at the café's menu.

Xavier:
Barley wine latte. Sounds like it tastes pretty cool.

Y/N:
....Was this menu board the reason why you were so focused earlier?

Xavier:
Yeah, I was choosing what to drink. It's so cold today, so a hot drink would be perfect. There's a special deal for the new drink. The second cup is half off. Want to try one?

Y/N:
So that's what you meant by "just in time"...

Xavier:
          You seem a bit disappointed...

Y/N:
I'm not. Let's go buy it! If we loiter in front of the shop for too long, people might get suspicious.

Xavier:
The barley wine really gives this latte a punch. My whole body feels warm after drinking it. I didn't expect this coffee to be so good. It seems the ad slogans aren't completely false.

Y/N:
So you wanted me to be a guinea pig with you from the beginning?

Xavier:
Of course not. How do you like the taste?

Y/N:
Tastes the same as that super bitter coffee you made last time.

Xavier:
Let's get something else then. You shouldn't consume bitter things when you're in a bad mood.

Y/N:
How did you know I'm in a bad mood?

Xavier:
Your aura is surrounded by depressing vibes. It's quite different from usual.

He leans closer and scan you.

Xavier:
Usually, your aura is bright orange, even a bit too dazzling on the eyes, but now it's very dim.

Y/N:
I'll take that as a compliment.

Xavier:
          It was a compliment.

Xavier takes another sip of the latte in his hand and watches the empty street with you.

Xavier:
The lanterns are all lighting up. Want to go home now?
