Brin woke with a small gasp, her eyes blinked open. Atom. She was seeing Atom. This wasn't the first time she saw people in her dreams and it definitely wasn't the last.

Slipping on her shoes and slipping out of the tent, trying not to wake her two friends. The camp was quiet as the stars filled the sky. Stars were scattered through the whole sky. Brin always enjoyed star gazing but it looked a lot different from being in space.

Brin saw the light fire from earlier that night, they don't really put out the fire a night. They just stop added wood after a while and let it slowly fade.

"Hey." A soft voice spoke up breaking Brin from the sky. Turning she saw Octavia leaned up against a tree. "Hi."

Octavia looked closely at the girl before speaking again, "You okay?"

Brin gave her a smile, "Never better."

"That's total shit." Octavia laughed at the girl's response before patting to the ground. "Sit." Brin took her invitation and joined her on the ground.

"So. You gonna tell me why you've been 'never better" Octavia mocked using quotations marks at Brin's words.

Brin let out a breath and turned to the sky again. "I'm sorry." She whispered closing her eyes. Atom's face. Atom's body. Atom's pleas. His-

"For what?"

"Atom." She said quickly intertwining her fingers together.

"My brother-"

"I killed Atom, Octavia." Brin spoke softly looking back down at the girl. "I had to, he was hurting and I wanted to help him but there was nothing we could do. I didn't want to do it. Okay. I didn't. I promise I didn't. It's just I can't let them have that on the conscience. I couldn't do that to them. Not again." Brin's voice broke a bit as her eyes glassed.

Octavia blinked at the girl unable to speak. "I'm so so sorry, Octavia. I didn't mean harm. I promise-"

"Again." Octavia questioned looked at the girl, completely sticking to the one word. Brin bit her lip and begged the girl with her eyes. "What do you mean again."

Grinding her teeth, "It's how I got us locked up."

"Zavia and Asher?"

She nodded, unclenching her jaw at their names, a sharp nod was all Brin was able to do. "Oh." Octavia breathed, not prying the answers out of her.

"I'm sorry." Brin spoke again going to get up, Octavia reached her arm out and grabbed hers. Brin looked over at the girl, a few tears had fell but she tried to keep her sobs at bay. "I forgive you. If that's what you need to hear."
