Life is like a maze, in which you try to avoid the exit. In this instance, death. If your weren't killed in the nuclear apocalypse 97 years ago you now live on the ark. The ark is made up of 12 space stations that turned into 1. This is the new reality, well until they go home; to the ground.
"Brin," Zavia wined as she threw a ball to the celling. "I'm bored." Brinley looked over at Zavia, "Really, Via. You say that every morning we're in here. There's nothing to do. Just go back to sleep."
Brinley focused on the book she had been reading when Zavia rolled her eyes and jumped off the top bunk. "Oh come on, you've read that book a million times. We gotta have something more interesting to do." Brin shut her book, "Alright, what you got in mind. Cause all I see it boring walls and a window that leads to our death."
"Geez Brin, no need to be so dark." Brin just shrugged her shoulders and opened her book again. Not a moment later the door unlocked and was pushed open to reveal 3 guards. "Prisoner 308 and 421, face the wall."
Brin threw her book onto her bed as she got up slightly looking over at Zavia who had a small smirk on her face. Brin raised her eyebrow, "Really, your excited about this." Brin licked her lips and turned away, "of course you are." Zavia turned to the girl," well duh, I-" "Quiet." One of the guards shouted, "Hold out your right arm."
The two girls turned around to see what they were doing, "Oh hell to the no." Zavia shook her head as Brinley lightly hit her, "Just do it." "No. Alright, I'm not 18 yet. So I think not." Zavia said looking towards the guards crossing her arms.
The guards pulled out their weapons. Shit both girls thought as they gave each other a look. Within a second both right arms were in front of them. "See what you did," Brin glared at her cellmate.
On the ark, every crime in punishable by death, no matter how small it is. Unless your under 18. If your under 18 you get locked up, also know as the sky box.
Two of the guards walked towards the girls putting a bracelet of each of the girls right arms. Both of them winced a bit before they were grabbed and forced out of the room. "Alright, you don't gotta be so handsy." Zavia huffed as the guards pushed her forwards once more. "Quit talking and walk."
"This interesting enough for you now?" Brinley asked. "Oh hell yeah. This is gonna be fun." The two girls were being leaded out of the sky box and onto a dropship. "Oh you gotta be kidding me." Brin looked at the guard, "This is my father's doing isn't it." The guard didn't answer her as the stood waiting to load the dropship. "Well you tell my father-" The girl was quickly cut off as Marcus Kane walked over with this tablet.
"Why don't you tell him yourself." The man said. Brinley Kane, the girl hadn't see her father since she'd been locked up 3 years ago. But she hadn't loved him for the past 9, not ever since her floated her mother. Brin bit her lip. Zavia was right behind the girl. "Brin, honey. Come on. Just talk to me."
