HAYLEY awoke the following morning to a rather startling sight. Standing in the entrance of her doorway was Robert, who was dangling something Hayley couldn't quite make out yet from her morning vision.

"The fuck are you doing in here, I... I thought... my door was locked." She said groggily.

"Open your eyes, Hayleyyy" Robert teased while still dangling whatever was in his hand.

Groaning loudly, Hayley sat up and rubbed her eyes, she saw the boy who was smiling as he held a key.

"Angelo was kind enough to give me a key to your room! So I can come and go however I please. I mean, I basically live here part time now, eh?"

Because that was just what Hayley needed to hear first thing in the morning after the monstrosity of yesterday. Though, Robert technically wasn't too wrong about his last statement. Both he and Carlo are in and out of the house almost on a daily basis. It started when he and Hayley first began dating which is also when Angelo began his business with Carlo.

Sitting in disbelief, Hayley said the only thing she could think to say in that moment, "Get the actual fuck out of my room, it is way to early to be dealing with you."

Robert waved his finger, "Uh uh, we've got to get ready for school, darling and you've got the privilege of driving me!"

"You know what a great privilege would be?" Hayley smiled, "pounding the ever living shit outta you, now go!"

Robert left the room, a laughing mess , "And don't be late!" he hollered as he slammed shut her door.

Hayley fell back down onto her bed, you've got to be kidding me she thought to herself. As seemingly cursed as this was, if Angelo really did give Robert an extra key to her room, there would be absolutely nothing Hayley could do about it as it was always the three of them, Angelo, Carlo and Robert against her.

Feeling doomed at her misfortune, Hayley looked at the time on her phone before getting up and getting ready for her day. She went out to grab breakfast from the kitchen and found an empty living room.

Feeling slightly relieved at this as it meant Angelo and Carlo were already out doing whatever business they had planned for today, Hayley let out a sigh of relief as she took out a bagel from the fridge. She cut into it only to find it was half moldy on the inside, "God damnit." Hayley pounded her fist down before throwing out the bagel.

Since breakfast clearly wasn't an option, the only other thing left was to shower and get dressed.

Once Hayley was dressed, looking way more tidy than yesterday now that she wasn't rushed ruthlessly, she was ready to drive off until she came to an abrupt stop, noticing a hooded figure in her rear view mirror looking through the window.

She reached into her glove compartment where she kept a gun for safety, cocked it and swung open her door. As she aimed, it was Robert, who removed his hood and put his arms up hollering, "Yooo, don't shot, don't shoot!"

"What the bloody hell is wrong with you!?" Hayley shouted, completely baffled.

By now, Robert was cackling, "Relax, I only wanted to see how long it would take for you to notice!"

"Get in the damn car before I pull this trigger." Hayley threatened with the gun still aimed.

During the ride to school, Hayley made a stop at a Starbucks. Bewildered to what was happening, Robert questioned, "What on earth are you doing?!"

Hayley got out of her car, "Need my morning fuel of course." Before she closed the door, she paused, "Does that bother you?"

"It absolutely does." Robert was quick to begin, "Because last time I asked to make a quick stop, you-"

Being cut off by Hayley closing her car door, Robert huffed and sat impatiently.

About five minutes later Hayley came strutting out of the cafe with a drink in her hand, looking beyond proud as she took a sip. Swinging open the door, Hayley made sure Robert was watching her as she took yet another drastic sip before hopping in the car and continuing on to school.

Occasionally glancing over at the girl, Robert noticed Hayley was acting smug the rest of the ride through as she held a triumphant look on her face.

"You're a real bitch, you know that?" He sneered.

Hayley let out a laugh, "Oi, Robby this ain't nothing, I'm going easy on you. Now pipe your hole and be lucky I haven't done worse to you...yet."

Robert was irked by Hayley the rest of the ride through and was quick to get away from her once they arrived at school which left Hayley feeling all too amused, "Don't get all pissy with me the second I start bull-shitting you back!" Hayley yelled at him, "It's called having a taste of your own medicine!"

Hayley strides forth, beaming at the fact that she's now discovering new ways to annoy her ex.

With time to spare before her first class, Hayley took a seat alone at one of the tables outside the campus and takes in the morning air. She took morning classes for a reason as there weren't many people on campus yet and so she could sit with her thoughts for a while before facing the day ahead.

Hayley eventually took out her sketchbook and began drawing as art was commonly a way for her to bring the images and thoughts in her mind to life.

Though a lot of her drawings were dark and even what some may refer to as nightmare fuel, they painted a bigger picture to the life she lived. They spoke the truth, words that Hayley could never bring herself to speak, maybe this was her own way of telling her story but who could she ever show? Who was out there to listen? She found that drawing her traumas and thoughts was perhaps a way of facing them but she knew deep down it was only her running from them.

Quickly sketching out tall trees and a forested area, she then moved on to drawing a Jeep. Though, the roof of it was caved in and a wheel from it was missing; the windows were shattered and the front part of the vehicle was completely destroyed as it was flattened at an angle. For a brief sketch as this was, it was thoroughly detailed and to the point.

At the bottom of the drawing, she wrote the time 5:45 pm and finished the drawing off by adding flames atop the roof of the car. With this she closed her book and packed up, heading to her first class.

[okay so maybe this chapter was a little slow in terms of events but, lots more happening in the next chapters!]
