After an hour, we finally arrive at our hotel with the cabins. Mr. Carter tells us that we already can go to our cabins and unpack our things. So as I want to walk to my cabin, I feel someone pulling my arm. "Wait for me, L/n" I turn around to see Connor. I fake smile at him before I continue walking. As we found our cabin, we enter the cozy room. The cabin was quite big, not what I expected. But as my eyes rose through the room, the bed comes in my sight. The bed. Singular. ONE BED! "Why the fuck is here just one bed?!" "Well, this is unexpected. Looks like we've got the classic 'just one bed' scenario." "Shut the fuck up Connor. We need to go to Mr. Carter, I will never in my life sleep in one bed with you." I turn around and walk out of the cabin towards Mr. Carter who still stands next to the bus looking at his phone.
"Mr. Carter!" "Oh Y/n, what's up? Do you still have a headache?" "No no. I'm fine. But in our cabin there is just one bed." I say to him dramatically. "Oh. The receptionist already told me about a cabin that has just one bed. I didn't know it would be yours and Connor's. I'm sorry for that. But I think we can't do anything about it. I'm sorry again" he says before turning his attention back to his phone. I scoff, as I walk towards the cabin again.
"So?" Connor asks as I enter the room. He is sitting on the bed scrolling through his phone. "Are you kidding me? This will be a nightmare!" "Don't worry L/n, I'll try not to cramp your style." I scoff again, giving him a sarcastic smile. "Oh, how considerate of you. Just make sure you stay on your side of the bed." "Oh, come on Y/n. Deep down, you know you're thrilled to spend some quality time with me." He smirks. I roll my eyes, trying to hide the fact that Connor's presence actually makes my heart race, like it did a long time ago. "Please, I'd rather be anywhere else than stuck with you."
After unpacking all our belongings in silence, eating lunch and looking through the hotel and the ski place (idk how to describe it), it was already night time. Tired I walk to cabin 5. As I step in, I hear the shower in the bathroom running. I change into my Pyjamas and grab my book, as I lay down on my side of the bed.
5 minutes later the shower goes off. And Connor walks out of the bathroom with just a towel wrapped around his lower body. I feel myself blushing, so I pretend to read my book. My mind couldn't stop thinking about him. This all would be easier if we just would've been best friends like before. Why am I even thinking this? He's the one who always makes fun of me.
We stay in silence as Connor grabs his clothes and goes back into the bathroom to change. As he reluctantly settles into bed too, right after, an uncomfortable tension fills the room. I shut the light and turn my body away from him. I try to ignore his presence but it's easier said than done. "So, Noon, any chance we can survive this trip without killing each other?" I hear him chuckle. "I guess we'll have to find out."
