-Time skip of a month or something-

As you know I'm dating Connor Noon, the popular boy at school. And well, I'm a nobody. And you also know, that we're dating in secret. So nobody, except Connor's brother Brady, knows about us. Before me and Connor started to date, he and his friends would make fun of me all the time and yeah actually that didn't stop now. It's not that often like it was before but still. He would always laugh with his friends at me and slowly I'm starting to get sick of this.

It's a usual school day, so I go into school and walk to my locker to grab some books. In the corner of my eye, I see Connor also entering the school. I'm minding my own business, looking through my locker, searching for my assignment, that I wrote over and over again.

Suddenly, I hear a voice. "Hey you!" I turn around to see the cheerleader girls...with Connor's friend group. Of course, he's standing with them too."Give us your homework" she demands. "What?" I ask confused. "Are you deaf?" She asks laughing at me. "I'm not giving you my homework." The girl groans as she suddenly throws her water bottle all over me and my paper.

Everyone starts laughing at me. Including Connor...but it's only til I start to tear up. I see his face go fully blank...

Brady was nowhere to be seen, so thank god, he isn't laughing at me.

It's time now. I can't with this anymore. I will do it, even if it breaks my heart. I take a deep breath and muster up the courage to speak the truth. "Connor, it's time. I can't with this anymore." Connor's face goes pale as he realizes the seriousness in my voice. More people start to gather around, curious to hear what I'm about to say. "L/n, what are you taking about? Can't we discuss this in private?" I shake my head, determination in my eyes. "No Connor. I'm tired of hiding our relationship. I'm tired of you laughing at me with your friends, pretending like we're nothing when we're alone. It's not fair to me!"

The crowd gasps loudly. Connor stands now right in front of me and looks me in the eyes. "I'm sorry" is the only thing he says. "A sorry isn't enough, Connor! I need actions. I need to feel valued and respected. I deserve better than this!" The crowd watches in silence, captivated by the raw emotions unfolding in front of them. I take a step back before I release the words. "Im breaking up with you, Connor Noon. In front of all these people. They deserve to know, what an asshole you truly are."

Connor stands still. His face releases no emotions and I can't see what's going on inside of him.

I turn around and walk out of the school towards my car. I hope that he now realizes what he has done.

So yeah, I would say that's a plot twist 🥹 Sorry if this story goes way too fast!
