"Miss Montanari? May I come in?" The short brunette, with deceiving looks fame in. She might have looked like a high school student. But give her a computer and she'd destroy lives for fun. So would you. At least she's subtle. Whatever.

"Yes, Gianna, what is it?"
"Ma'am the placement orders are delayed again"
"Why?" This was the third time it had happened and it was starting to piss me off.
"I believe it's because of the death of the last CEO and Kenneth Deora taking over." Still intriguing how he died in a forest in a suit.

"Prepare for a visit." The last time he got a few broken bones. I didn't go personally. Maybe that was a mistake.
"Y-you're gonna go?"
"Yes."
"Personally?"
"Did I stutter, Gianna ?" It pisses me off when people expect I won't personally deal with incompetent morons.

"No ma'am I'm sorry. When do you wanna leave"
"20 minutes" considering I didn't have much on hand at the moment.
"On it." She rushed out and 15 minutes later I got the text that we were ready to leave.

I didn't plan on taking anyone cause it's just a bratty CEO. I'd clearly dealt with worse. Plus it was fun scaring bratty men at times. All the time. Right.

Walking in the reception I could feel the corporate air. I didn't hate it in general but I could also smell the fragile ego almost everyone is this room held. "I want to see Kenneth Deora." Gauge his eyes out. Rip his fingers off his hands and feed it to him.

"What name is your appointment under?"
"Angelina Martina." Gianna had hacked their computers to find an appointment I could fit into and Angelina was well.... Let's say Busy. In the trunk of your car. Okay, and?

"Give me a moment, Miss Martina. I'll check in with Mr. Deora." She really thought I missed her unbuttoning her top buttons and shortening her skirt. Way to be subtle, girl. I controlled the urge to roll my eyes.

"Of course." I faked a poisonously sweet smile. I had no idea how people believed these. I'd rather have someone feed me to the hyenas before I fall for such smiles.

She returned with her hair messed up and lipstick smudged 10 minutes later. Only 10 minutes... Shut up. "I'm sorry. I don't think he'll be able to see you right now. When can I postpone your appointment to?"

I rolled my eyes and walked past her. "Being civil is fucking useless." I groaned under my breath, walking through the glass doors. I opened the door to see him sitting on his chair so fucking composed as if he didn't fuck his secretary. That made me roll my eyes again.

"I thought I said I didn't wanna see anyone, Terra." His voice reeked of ego disguised as professionalism. I'd seen enough of his kind. "Sir I-" I cut Terra off as she started to reply to him.

"Make me wait again and you won't be able to see anyone with your eyes sewed shut." Fucking corporate brats.

I turned to Terra. Who the fuck names their kid Terra? "You're dismissed."
She hesitated before nodding and finally leaving.

"Impressive entrance. Not many have the audacity to barge into my office uninvited." I stepped further in the office. This desk looked so good. Fuckable. Shut it.

"Audacity is a luxury I afford myself, Mr. Deora. Especially when it comes to matters that concern my business."

Kenneth, leaning back in his chair, smirked. "And what, pray tell, brings you to my domain, Mariana Montanari?"

I threw the file on his desk. "Your recent activities have disrupted our operations. I don't take disruptions lightly." He opened the file flipping through it.
