Kenneth Deora
I was finishing up some work later in the evening. Lucas' disappearance had increased the working load a 1000 times.
It was 11 now and I had been typing and signing away since I got back from lunch.
I still didn't know what me and Mariana were but I couldn't have stayed silent while she called last night a mistake.
Mistake. Accident. Disaster. I couldn't care less. I wanted it. I wanted her and whatever she had to give me. I'd take it. With grace or with force. I was going to have her.
My mind went back to the way she made little sounds when she ate. Her siren stared over the glass bottle of coke. The movements of her throat and the little sighs she made. God this woman was driving me crazy.
I should've touched some grass. You really should. I got up and left my office to see my secretary leaving the room next to mine again. Obviously freshly fucked but not my place to say anything. I wonder how Mariana looked freshly fucked.
I ran a hand over my face. Snap the fuck out of it. I slid my hands in my pockets.
Her keys. Damn it. I should've driven it back. And probably say hi.No man had ever won against his own mind after all. I got in her car, taking a deep inhale. It smelled like her. Cherries and whiskey invaded my lungs, making them worth more than they were.
I stopped at a flower shop. It would be weird to leave her car without flowers in it.
I bought two bouquets of blue and red glitter roses.I didn't know her favourite flowers. Yet.
Her security probably let me in because I was in her car. This place was too fucking big to live alone. Even with her whole staff.
I knocked a few times before the door opened revealing her in glasses, an oversized t-shirt and... nothing.
I swallowed the dryness in my mouth. My eyes went back to hers as her face flushed. "Hi...?"
"You shouldn't go to people's places unannounced." She didn't back or shy away but her shoulders tensed and her voice restrained.
"My most sincere apologies, wildfire." I handed her the flowers that she hesitated before taking and uttered a thank you.
"Can I come in?" I said, trying not to stare at her half naked body. "I'd love to say no but you're a stubborn fucker." She said moving aside to let me in.
"Guilty as charged."
My mouth was still dry from the view I took. "Thanks again." She puts the flowers down. "The housekeeper is in the kitchen if you need anything." She said, making me nod.
There was enough tension in the room to suffocate us. "So... Um-" before I could finish the sentence her lips crashed onto mine.
They weren't soft or sweet. They were harsh and hungry. Like she was saying she hates me but she kissed me like oxygen was a mere suggestion.
She tasted exactly like she had tasted the first time we kissed. Just this time her sounds were thick with desire. Her hands gripped my neck and jaw while mine rested on her hips.
I didn't fight her tongue when it slid into my mouth. She could take whatever she wanted from me and I'd let her. I needed her taste like I needed light to see.
I broke our kiss when a stinging pain invaded my leg. Our eyes met before we both looked down to see the knife on the table digging into my leg.
A moan slipped my mouth before I could catch it. It was a mix of the pain from the knife and her starving kiss.
