Liam's P.O.V.-
*One Week Later*
"Mom, I'm going over to Zayn's for a bit!" I shouted to her, running downstairs.
"Okay Hun, be careful!"
I dashed out of the house and to my car.
Vogue had just sent out another notification for the cover and I had to tell Zayn.
When I reached his house, he was already waiting for me in the doorway. I called him earlier and told him that I had big news to share.
"Hey Li, why in such a hurry?" He asked me as I hopped out of the car and ran to him.
"Vogue sent out another notification!"
Zayn crossed his arms not amused, "This is what you just needed to tell me, isn't it?"
I finally reached him and shrugged smiling, "Well, yeah."
He chuckled, "Okay, what is it?"
"I'll let you know more about it once we're in your room." I said.
"Geesh, are you demanding to come into my room?" He asked, smirking.
"Shut up and get inside already!" I slapped his arm playfully.
"Perv." I murmured under my breath so he couldn't hear.
"Mom, Liam and I are going up to my room!" Zayn yelled to her.
"Okay, Hun! I'll call for you when dinner is done!" She responded.
"Sounds good!" Zayn yelled, running up to his room as I followed.
He jumped onto his bed and stretched his whole body out while I simply sat at the foot of his bed.
"So, what's the news, Payno?" He asked, resting his hands behind his head.
"Right, uh well, they needed a picture of the model sent by the photographer; which is already done by me. I sent in the picture that we took a few weeks ago. I hope that was alright with you." I said.
Zayn nodded and smiled.
"I gave them my phone number and address. We should get a call or an e-mail stating whether we've won or not. If it's not this week, we will be notified sometime next week."
He sat up and crossed his legs, resting his hands in his lap before tilting his head to the right a bit.
"Have I ever told you how lucky I am to have you as a friend?" He asked.
I giggled, "No, I don't think so."
"Well I should more often. You're an amazing person, Li." He smiled and hugged me.
I hugged him back, tightly, neither of us letting go until about a minute later.
"You're getting stronger there, Malik!" I joked, touching his shoulders after we pulled away. "Have you been working out?"
"I have actually. Thanks for noticing!" He laughed.
"Hey, best friends see the littlest things in each other, right?" I patted his shoulder.
"I guess." He shrugged.
"That's when you're supposed to say, 'Yes.'" I remarked, grinning.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." He rolled his eyes, running a hand through his hair.
Why did I find it attractive whenever he did that?
I didn't realize that I was staring at Zayn before he snapped his fingers in front of my face.
"Oh right, sorry!" I regained myself.
I noticed a small smile sneak from the corner of his mouth and I blushed.
"Dinner's ready boys!" I heard Trisha faintly say from downstairs.
Zayn and I jumped up from his bed and raced downstairs.
I sat next to Zayn and Waliyha at the dinner table. Safaa sat next to Zayn, while Doniya sat by her. From there, Yaser, and Trisha next to me.
Mmm, fish and chips.(A.N.- This is probably the only British food that I've heard of.(If it even is British lol.) Please excuse my lack of intelligence.)

When dinner was finished and everyone had eaten, Zayn and I cleaned the dishes.
"Quit it!" I giggled, holding my hands up in defense from soap suds.
"Okay, Li. I won't do it again. Promise!" He said.
"Alright..." I replied, backing up a bit.
He quickly took more soap out of the sink and rubbed it on my cheek.
"Zayn Malik! You promised!" I gasped, still holding the plate in my hand over the sink.
"Obviously," He spoke, "You don't know the trick that if you cross your fingers behind your back, you don't have to keep a promise."
He pointed his finger at me and stuck his tongue out.
"You're so mean to me." I pouted.
"Whatever!" He rolled his eyes, smiling and washing the fork in his hand.
When we finished cleaning dishes, Zayn and I went outside to play with Safaa on their trampoline.
"Liam, do a flip for me!" Safaa cheered, smiling. "Zayn can't do them."
"Hey!" Zayn whined. "I can do a flip!"
"No, no! I'll do a flip Zayn! Don't try one, please!" I stopped him.
He sighed and shrugged.
I began to bounce to get air and then I did a front flip, landing perfectly on my feet.
"Haha, show off." Zayn muttered under his breath.
I placed my hands on my hips and tilted my head, giving him an 'I just heard that' face.
"I mean, carry on." He responded.
Safaa giggled and did a cartwheel, perfectly.
"Wow Safaa, you've gotten very good!" I said clapping, making her blush.
"Yeah, whatever. She takes gymnastics classes." Zayn stated, sounding annoyed.
"Why are you being so grumpy all of a sudden?" I asked him, frustrated.
"I'm just tired, that's all. Okay?" He grumbled.
I frowned and began to jump with Safaa for a little longer while Zayn just played on his phone.
After jumping for a bit, we all went inside.
"Well, I should probably get going." I told everyone, waving.
"Goodbye!" They all said in unison.
I walked out of the door before I felt someone place their hand on my shoulder.
"Wait, Liam. I'm coming with you." Zayn said, closing the door behind him.
"What are you doing?" I asked him. "You're going to get in trouble."
"Just follow me." He replied.
