MY HUSBAND IS A WOMAN (JENLISA)

PROLOGUE.

"I heard the company's profit increased by 15% this month." Amidst the delightful meal, inside the silver palate dining, Dad broke the silence with his tone lacking appreciation.

"Orion truly excels at everything!" Mom answered

However, instead of agreeing, my dad scoffed, carrying a hint of insult.

"He's good at everything, but not with women," Sagot ni Dad. "or perhaps, totoo ang usap-usapan that he's a gay" walang prenong patuloy niya but My mom and I didn't flinch; sanay na kami sa topic na to and I couldn't even count the number of times I had heard about this gossip. "You're turning 29 this year, Arsen, and yet you haven't introduced any woman to us. What are your plans? naunahan ka pa ni Pheter, Pheter is getting married next week..."

"Gabriel, marriage doesn't need to rush into anything.. Bata pa naman si Orion.. Yung iba nga they're getting married in their thirties"

"Stop speaking up for your Son, Lori.. Look at him.. Ang payat payat, walang ka-muscle muscle kaya nasasabihang bakla eh"

"Igaya sakin?" Sarcastically, my dad repeated

Actually They're not arguing, they're just talking casually but I cleared my throat to intervene before a tension fired up between them.

"Mom... Dad," wiping my lips using a spotless white table napkin. "This issue is not something we should be arguing about... Marriage is also something I really want. And Dad, it's your birthday, you shouldn't be stressing yourself out"

"How could I not be depressed kung sa araw ng birthday ko ay makakarinig ako na anak ko ay isang bading?.. Tell me Orion, are you really a gay?" he's still not done with it.

"Stop it Gabby, hindi nga bading ang anak k---"

"Ms. Pineda, come here!" Then dad, called out to my secretary na nasa kabilang table kasama ang secretary niya, kaya agad naman itong lumapit

"Yes po sir?"

"You are always with my Son, so tell me Ms. Pineda, bakla ba ang anak ko?" my secretary's eyes widened in shock.. "Tell me Ms. Pineda and don't you dare lie to me kung ayaw mong bukas na bukas ay sesante ka na"

Napansin ko ang takot na saglitang sumilay sa mata ng aking sekretarya.

I couldn't believe that dad will go this far--- threatening my secretary para lang sa nais nitong malaman.

"You're going too far, Gabriel.."

"Dad--"

"Excuse me po ah, pero si Sir Orion po Bading?" my secretary spoke and laughed "naku Sir napaka imposible naman ho yata nun.. Napakagwapo po ni Sir Orion at kinahuhumalingan ng maraming babae---"

"It's just a yes or no Ms. Pineda?!" Dad firmly uttered

"No po sir!" Mabilis at tarantang sagot nito "in fact may tinatago nga pong girlfriend yang si Sir Orion at plano na nga po niyang pakasalan ngayong taon!"

That statement startled the shit out of me, leaving a momentary silence between me and my parents.

teka, san nakuha ng babaeng to ang mga kasinungalingang yon?!

I mean-- yes, I'm not gay but I'm not with someone either... Wala akong girlfriend at lalong wala akong planong pakasalan ngayong taon!

Zeichin Pineda,my secretary and the smartest secretary I've ever known... Pero i think nagkamali yata ako ng judgement at unti-unti ko ng pinagsisisihan yon ngayon.
