THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS MAJOR FONTAINE ARCHON QUEST SPOILERS. SPOILERS WILL BE IN BOLD, SKIP UNTIL THE WORDS ARE BACK TO NORMAL IF YOU WANT TO MISS THEM.

Third Person POV

Cleaning up Fontaine would be a long and tedious process when its cleaners were already ruined.

People were moving objects that were in the wrong places, mopping up the water, working on replanting dead plants. The prophecy has been fulfilled; Fontaine was flooded, and the people were stripped of their sins. And then everything went back to normal. For most.

The people of Poisson had suffered terrible losses; their homes were destroyed, lives were lost. The Archon and the Chief Justice suffered too. Or, shall I say the previous 'Archon' and her newly reformed dragon friend?

After the disappearance of Y/N, the few who knew them were already in shambles. The plan was for Y/N to meet them at the Palais Mermonia before leaving for Sumeru. They never showed up, so Navia showed up to their home. All went to hell that day.

Navia took what remained of Y/N and the Doctor back to the Palais, and broke a few hearts and souls once there. Navia almost immediately broke down, her soul shattered completely, while the rest (Neuvillette, Wriothesley and Furina) looked to be about to cry too.

They had no words to share, and planned to keep the letter left behind sealed until they all felt calmer. Which would not happen soon.

The prophecy struck while these Fontainians were already licking their wounds. The traveler arrived, and so with them came absolute chaos. The arrest of Lyney, the discovery of sinthe, the flood came soon after.

The entire nation had been absolutely hit by storm; quite literally. The nation was completely engulfed in the waters they had always appreciated. But the flood subsided soon after its arrival, and the cleanup began.

The traveler aided in helping Fontainians rebuild their city. The few who knew of the events that had taken place before the traveler's arrival were all completely distant during the clean. Navia had lost her friends; Y/N, Melus and Silver. Neuvillette and Wriothesley had both failed to protect the one they care for. Furina had failed to protect the one part of her nation she swore she would.

"Hey traveler.."

Everyone was cleaning up the Opera Epiclese, the friends all doing their jobs in complete silence and isolation. No other citizens were around; this was supposed to be a calming way to get their minds off of things. The traveler and paimon were picking up fallen flowers and throwing them in bins.

"Does everyone seem.. a little too upset? Paimon's not saying they shouldn't be upset, but the city is okay! So why do they all look so.. dead?"

The traveler turned their head. Navia sat by the fountain, dragging her hand through the water's surface. Neuvillette and Wriothesley worked together to pick up heavy objects that had been washed here. They didn't share a word. Furina sat crouching behind a potted plant doing Archon knows what.

"Maybe. Give them time, Paimon." The traveler continued their job of picking up plants. Paimon helped. Behind them, a deep voice cleared their throat, catching the unattentive Paimon off guard.

"Apologies. I could not help but overhear. The current situation is one we are not quite able to discuss yet. But I'd like to request your help." Neuvillette stood behind them, all eyes - even those which were previously preoccupied - were on him. No one wanted to share the story in fear of making it so much more real.

"What can we help with?" The petite figure of Paimon looked guilty, as though she realized how loud she had been talking.

"What do you know of the Doctor? The Second of the Harbingers." The name brought new pain to old wounds, and everyone drew their attention back to where it had been before. They tuned Neuvillette's voice out.
