Amara wasn't the daughter of Hecate. Hecate didn't have children, but when her mother Aphrodite had rejected her for not fitting her image she had sworn herself to Hecate who had been her comfort and led her through life ever since she was a little child.
This wasn't the first time Amara had learned to hate the Gods. Amara had cursed her mother for leaving her with her drunk father, she had cursed the Gods for what happened that tragic night when her best friend Thalia had sacrificed herself for her, Luke and Annabeth and she continued to curse the Gods every day and yet she found a home in Camp halfblood.
For Amara, it wasn't the place that made Camp halfblood special, it was the people. Especially a certain boy from Cabin 11. Not that she didn't love Annabeth with her whole heart she did but Luke was something else. They had loved each other since they were small. It was a known fact wherever the girl from Cabin 20 went, Luke would follow her. They were insperatable.
Luke and Amara. Amara and Luke, it just made sense. He was the flirty, kind, extroverted golden Retriever, and she was the sarcastic, witty, introverted black cat. The sun and the moon just belonged together.
But just like there was kindness behind Amara's harsh facade, there was a dark brokenness behind Luke's signiture smile.
And when one day, a new kid called Percy Jackson arrived, the walls of their perfect house they build, would start shaking, and their world would slowly start crumbling.
