It was time for capture the flag. Everyone was dressed in armour . Amara stood next to Luke, only wearing a light breast blade and a blue fabrik tied around her arm. She didn't like armor she prefered magic and small daggers if she had to. Her fingers were still painted black, and she looked slightly indimidating.
"Why don't you wear all this stuff?"Percy asked.
"It's impractical," Amara replied simply, "I only need my hands."
Luke looked at her. "So you're doing your own thing again?"
"You know me," Amara smirked, "Don't worry, I'll be around."
"I know you will," Luke smiles, placing a kiss on her lips.
Chiron was explaining the game. It was just simple capture the flag, but when it came to halfbloods, nothing was simple afterall they were trained to fight. The only two rules were, of course, no killing and no maiming. Usually, someone got pretty hurt anyway. When Chiron told them that any magical items in their pocession were allowed, Percy looked at his sword-pen questioningly, but Luke assured him it was ok.
"I don't even know what my job is. Maybe I won't even need a sword, "Percy replied, frustrated. Amara gave him a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry, you're probably a natural," she told him.
"Let the games begin," Chiron announced. The red team was screaming at them to intimidate them.
"Alright, we have 20 minutes before the second conch and game-on. You know what you're doing?"Annabeth asked Luke.
"Yes mam", Luke replied, giving her a nod.
"Amara, you're causing chaos again," Annabeth told her.
The witch gave her a mischivious grin. "Always."
Luke turned to lead his attacking troupe, but Annabeth stopped him, "Hey"
He turned back to her. "Today, feel like a winning kind of day to you?"she asked.
Luke nodded, smiling."I'll see you on the other side. " he turned, leading his troupe - Amara followed him after giving Percy a reassuring look, and Annabeth had a nod. "I have a good feeling about this," she told her sister.
Luke and her were walking in the woods next to each other. The taller boy smiled at her.
"What?" she asked.
"Nothing, it's just I could get used to this," Luke brushed her off.
Amara gave him a smile. "Are you coming to my cabin tonight?"she asked.
"I could never say no to that," Luke replied.
Finally, they reached the red's troupes. A fight broke out between the teams, Amara keeping her distance disarming one or two people that came to close to her with her dagger and threatening another one with her magic. Her magic was mostly too dangerous to actually use it, but a few confusion spells were always useful. Suddenly, one girl tried hitting her from behind. Amara managed to duck just in time. She raised her hand to hit back, but Luke already disarmed her with a swift movement.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," he told the girl who surrendered.
"You know I was handling it," Amara told Luke a smug expression on her face.
"I know you were but why fight if you have your knight in shining armour protecting you", Luke replied a proud expression on his face looking down at his girl when suddenly another girl tried attacking him getting knocked back by a wave of energy Amara send her way.
"Maybe I'm your knight in shining armour," she laughed at Luke, who was slightly flustered.
"Well, let's just say we look after each other and call it a truce," he told her chuckling.
