It has been 2 hours since they found the garage. She was in the hospital. Now he didn't have to do any surgeries on her, they just gave her a few stitches and some pain medicine, it was all they could do. She was alive, but she could barely open her eyes or even form a sentence. She was there, but I needed to do anything but make sounds and gestures.

" So we've informed the hospital that as soon as Miss Henson wakes up to call us, we know she's very important to you. "Yeah thanks... '' Jordan said as he rolled his eyes and went back into his mother's hotel room

" what did they say ?" Halle quickly asked as Jordan just shook his head and sat down in the corner of the room

" they're working on it, they have to wait until she wakes up to take her statement, and then they'll start working on finding him," Jordan said as he covered his eyes

His eyes were red, the more he thought about everything that happened, the more he worried and wondered when all it would end.

"They aren't going to do much, not until they figure out what to do about their chief being a criminal... I mean, imagine New York City's chief of police. Wanted. For the kidnapping and torture of an innocent woman," Fantasia shook her head and laughed at the thought

To her, it was hard to believe any of this was happening, but she was living through it, and she had to deal with it. Never in a million years had she thought her husband had it in him to do the things he had done. Never in a million years had she thought her marriage would end like this.

"So what do we do now?" Halle questioned as they all looked up at Taraji in the hospital bed

Her eyes were covered with a small ice pack and bandages. Her arms were wrapped, and patches covered most of her face. She looked nearly dead.

"We wait... we wait for her to open her eyes, or wait until she can open her eyes..." Fantasia said keeping tears from rolling down her face as she took Taraji's hand and held it tight

She held Fantasia's hand tightly. Fantasia smiled and cried a little.

~~~~In Taraji's Apartment~~~~

"Ken, baby, how was work?" Taraji asked as she turned over in the bed to meet him as he got in

"Good, you know how it is, stopping the bad guys and filing papers" He huffed as he lay in the bed and covered himself with the blanket

They had a few moments of silence as they stared at each other. It had been a long time since they had a moment to themselves. Jordan was graduating soon, and Taraji had just started a new job, while Ken had been getting his ass handed to him by the mayor.

"What's wrong, you seem so sad, I thought you said everything was going smoothly at work?" Taraji questioned as she ran her hand down his arm

"The mayor is asking for results, recruitment numbers, case reports that were lost in one of the fires at the station, and to make it worse he's trying to do a press conference with you and Ken because he thinks the people think I'm lonely and taking it out on the city" He rolled his eyes and held Taraji's hand
